Yeah, so far I know there is Qosmio X500-D830 at around RM7199, here the specs

Intel Core i7-720QM Processor 1.6Ghz Turbo Boost up to 2.8Ghz
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium
4GB DDR3 SDRAM
GeForce GTS-250M
640GB

I think you shouldn't compare the price with oversea, those laptop's price from oversea haven't included with custom taxes.

Ouch, that is pricey, I forgot about the taxes in Bolehland icon_question.gif

It's used to recover your system back to it's factory setting (format with driver installed).

as far as i know, recovery disk will only burn out the factory default windows, driver and toshiba application. it won't burn out windows update or personal files.
i think should create recovery disk as soon as possible lo....

1) It's good to create your recovery disc during the 1st time of log on to windows.
2)It's up to you whether you want to create partition or not, creating partition is good for you to backup your data when you wanna format your laptop. For me, I don't create any partition since I have an external harddisk, so my data will be saved on there.

I'm owning a Toshiba L510-S438 Laptop, and has just upgraded my Windows from Vista to 7 through the Toshiba upgrade media kit, I'm having a doubt here, if let say I wanna recover my system back to original Windows 7 factory setting with all application and drivers installed, what should I do? Can I use F8 key recovery system to recover my system back to Windows 7 or it's only able to recover back to my Windows Vista version?

As I said earlier, my guess is that your recovery system partition will contain only Vista installation files. So, when you do recovery, you will recover to Vista, not Win7.

My suggestion is to do backup image copy of your current Win7, then try to recovery to see the result.

i think can try to ghost the windows 7 image first.
because once recover, it will back to vista.
if not mistaken, the upgrade kit enable you to upgrade to win7 in vista or fresh install windows 7.
so i don't think is a recovery disk.

The partition is hidden, so don't worry about it. You should created 32bit since you have chosen 32bit for your windows.

1) it doesn't matter cos recovery disc contains 32-bit & 64-bit win7 installation files.

2) it's hidden, no need to worry unless u do full format of ur hard disk.

zhuan97, thank for your sharing...will confirm with Toshiba tomorrow, if there is no other way to recover my system other than format myself and install the driver myself, then I would do a backup and recovery using Paragon Backup & Recovery, just did a research about this software, found out it's easy to do so.

Just contact Talk-2-Toshiba Technical Assistant, for L510-S438 model, there is only one way to recover your windows back to Windows 7 Home Premium with drivers and toshiba applcation installed is to recover your system using 0 key during boot and recover back to windows vista and perform again the Windows 7 Upgrade by the Upgrade Media Kit DVD.
