i was confused how the extra free warranty works?is it automatically updated by Toshiba/Teledynamics itself or do we need to send reciept to Toshiba/Teledynamics for updating purpose???

if it's auto,then i should get 3 years warranty also since Teledynamics operator said that the current pcfair promo also applied to all dealer in Malaysia.

u got free extra warranty or buy the extended warranty?

i guess toshiba look at the date we registered the 1st year warranty,if it's around promo event then they process the free warranty(if any)..am i right?? i don't know~ weird~

1)is it OK if we create recovery dics before updating windows?all in factory setting.

2)i've read somewhere that we need to create partition for os.what is that? is it like normal partitoning process?

seriously i am worried about the warranty i want that 2nd & 3rd year local warranty

i don't know which one should i trust teledynamics or seller

i am planning to remove some of bloatware in my lappy,and keep that application(with pendrive) in case i wanted to use it in the future but i don't know where is the installer/setup .exe file

it's quiet tricky to unhidden the recovery partition and i don't know which dvd should i run to find that bloatware quiet scared to run the recovery dvd

could anyone try this?

go to Computer-->drive C-->Program Files-->TOSHIBA-->TOSAPINS-->COMPS1

and you'll see lot of folders,is that all the installer/setup for bloatware??

one more thing,i couldn't find any way to make my C drive smaller than 140gb ..

total drive size 290GB,available shrink space 140GB only

zhuan,which partition manager are you using?

i only manage create 2 partition only with equal size

is it ok to share music,picture,movies files with application/os file in main C drive.

still not used with win7

folder management way too different with win xp

yes,the speaker quiet weak but acceptable,my 6 years old Acer Travelmate sounds better.Toshiba should put Harmon/Kardon speakers in all thier pc like Compaq(Altec Lansing)

a little confusion here,

i've read the user manual said that it took 8 hours for charge the battery to complete if its being used.Today for the first time i charge my lappy while using it,but it only took 2 hours,same like while it turns off

is this normal,or the "8 hours" charging only for the first time charging??

btw is it okay to run lappy only with ac adapter without battery for more than 8 hours everyday?i never tested it before since it's very new..i just afraid the adapter might kong very soon

well,if you are concern about speaker quality,better go for M300/M500 with Harmon Kardon speaker..I've heard many positive review of it!.

yes,the speaker just ok for casual listening.not really good in music,but acceptable.i usually use earphone for better sound quality.

sometimes i thought Toshiba put tweeter(car speaker) on L510.

anyone could pm me email address for the Q&A regarding warranty.i doubt if i eligable to get that free extra warranty

i dont know if its a good idea to stick protector(sticky type like sellotape)on palmrest area since it produce heat.the notebook protector i bought come with palm rest protector.

webcam,the worst i think, reminds me the old nokia phone with 0.3mpx camera. ,too grainy even with enough light. but i rarely use them

battery life,i got 3 hours with power saving mode for normal usage+surfing.gaming,i don't know,never tried.

heat management was good,produce heat on left side,just a lil bit warm.but overall ok.

speaker,yes not the best but acceptable,suitable for casual listening.use external speaker or earphone if you want better sound production.

i bought it 2799,no free ram,warranty still not updated(worries me each day).if i'm not get what should i get,better terjun sungai..not worth to buy!!!wasting 300 for nothing!..better buy S4312 since i'm not playing games,i dont mind if it comes only with 1 year warranty(S4312)..haiz~
