just got my L510-S4314 today rclxm9.gif

questions..

1)is it OK if we create recovery dics before updating windows?all in factory setting. smile.gif

2)i've read somewhere that we need to create partition for os.what is that? icon_question.gif is it like normal partitoning process?
*
as far as i know, recovery disk will only burn out the factory default windows, driver and toshiba application. it won't burn out windows update or personal files.
i think should create recovery disk as soon as possible lo....

i think can try to ghost the windows 7 image first.
because once recover, it will back to vista.
if not mistaken, the upgrade kit enable you to upgrade to win7 in vista or fresh install windows 7.
so i don't think is a recovery disk.

i think there is a limit for shrinking hdd size in windows, for you case should be 140GB.
if you want to create partition, is better to create the partition when you recover os.
you can try to use third party software to create partition, but not sure safe or not, cause heard someone say might corrupt the partition.

if not mistaken, if eco button light is off other light will on, if eco light is on other light will off.
