"1080p: The Ultimate HD Experience
As the leader in HD, DIRECTV now brings you the latest in HD technology: 1080p. The same HD format as Blu-ray Discs, 1080p delivers a picture that's even sharper and smoother than 1080i, especially for movies. The hottest titles are now available in 1080p on DIRECTV on DEMAND. Experience them like never before. "

how long has DirecTV been broadcasting HD? Could take just as long, most probably longer for Astro to get to 1080p

Is there such a thing as few hundred feet HDMI cables? Reason being my family's household has one decoder and right now we use few hundred feet of wiring in order to receive Astro upstairs in my room so in order to receive HD, I will need to change the cables to HDMI, is there such length of cable? Forgive me if it sounds silly tongue.gif

the funny thing is the launch is just around the corner, and consumers still not updated, on the extra charges and how to change the set top boxes/dish

so who will be the 1st batch to view HD content

such a big multinational corporation..... but with screwed-up managemnet

Added on December 9, 2009, 8:09 pmactually before the HD launch, consumers must be notified about the charges maybe 6mths before,

so installation process will be done prior to those that agree,
and "BANG" on the 18th, consumers will withness 1080i broadcast

sorry to say somemore, after merdeka, and Tun Dr Mahathir, had stress, we will be citizens of malaysia in 2020, and now our "one malaysia"

sorry to elaborate ok

but, i see we chinese are being pinalised, our package is the most expensive as we really need Wah Lai Toi (Dynasti)

for other races, they just need the minimum package,

to be frank Astro is very unfair since Day 1.....

Better if they can swap our existing decoder with the new one and pay extra small amount.. Is it with HDMI connection?
