sweat.gif the installer came to my place, and without hesitation, i gave them my HDMI cable to connect to the unit.
after awhile they couldnt get a signal and told me to use composite instead doh.gif
i kept insisting it's the same damn thing, but they changed it anyway.

after 15 minutes of trying they changed the satellite cable(cant remember what it's called) and then they got the signal doh.gif

instead of checking the satellite cable first, they assume it's the HDMI doh.gif

actually what my installer did when he didn't see anything was to tweak around with the tv display setting and voila it worked! nod.gif

Their new advertisement on TV also will attract more people. Please postpone first that advert.

The photos of the Byond decoder (from someone's facebook link) has less buttons at the front fascia than the Pace DS-830, and also the button design is different, you very sure it's the Pace DS-830?

The installer came to my house this afternoon to install the dish and the decoder but unfortunately the decoder seemed to have problem reading the smartcard as there was no display on the tv once the card inserted but no problem gettting into the decoder's setup screen when the card was pulled out, not sure it is the decoder problem or the smartcard.

They have to take back everthing since they couldn't fix it except the dish which they have replaced and told me another technician will call me for installation again cry.gif Hope it won't take too long to return.

Could it be that Astro has two decoder suppliers also for Byond, just like the Philips and Nokia sets from 10 years ago?

Do they have to replace the cables from dish to the decoder or use back the existing cable?

hey...i've also got astro beyond...so...its really gud...but 2day...when i watch incredible hulk on HBO-HD...there were pixels and some video noises during fast movement with 1080i..i think this is because of the bitrate...if i select 720p there arent much but there is a little ghosting effect..........i think the ghosting effect is from the deinterlacing of the astro decoder because hbo is actually broadcasted in 1080i......still...i think the astro isnt using much bandwith for their hd....
