I got my Byond already....
Very Friendly installer.., and he said that in my area, only 2 persons including me who are changing their decoder to byond... He changed all the things like dish, cable, and decoder... I got only 3 channels in HD, it is Nat Geo HD, History HD and HBO HD since im just subscribing to Movies and learning package in SD... The Quality was SUPERB!!! I set the output to HDMI 720p.... but for the SD channels.., the quality was just so..so.. la... especially TV3 and TV9.. a bit poor quality... Decoder itself was so small... so cute.... and the dish looks very grey... This post has been edited by AjkR06: Dec 22 2009, 11:52 AM |

for those who in movies package, just stay on it, since they are going to charge from April, you may as well, try and see the HBO HD thing first, if you not like it, then just cut movies package, which cost RM20, and RM10 for downgrade package, then your monthly fees is same as before, but you don't have movies package now
correct me if I am wrong, call on Sunday, T&C on Monday, now waiting Installer call |

QUOTE(boxsystem @ Dec 22 2009, 11:43 AM) Yeah .. all msian company sux. Lol not to mention... how providers love twisting it, 1080i in US's directv has become 1440x1080i, not 1920x1080i (some channels).I wonder why people don't even bother to read on the posts a few pages back. I remembered someone literally explaining regarding 1080p and 1080i standards. How BD differs? How 1080p isn't even being broadcast live in any part in the world and how it consumes bandwidth. Sure, you can get 1080p quality but all are after market products. Imagine when finally some provider broadcast 1080p... yeah its 1080p, but its 1440x1080p lol... or to even save cost, 1280x1080p. |

QUOTE(accitzone @ Dec 22 2009, 12:23 PM) It won't be 16:9 but they have the aspect ratio flag set to 16:9...so when the decoder sees that flag, it will automatically pull the picture to 16:9.... and you wont notice much diff because your eyes are not that sensitive as to vertical resolution. This post has been edited by kaspersky-fan: Dec 22 2009, 12:32 PM |
