Anyway, u guys know a way to enable the cam's LED to b used as torch?

I don't think there's an option to do that but i bet there will be developers who will make a widget/app.

I dont hv a Desire but user fr XDA reporting the apk does work fine and well for them...now they r hoping da creator to design a toggle switch widget and make the "ON" feature to be brighter

mayb to the member who own a Desire cud check n try this out

i knew about this...
to me, is not a big issue.. so far only the HTC site show a little pinkish, i ask my gf, she say it's fine.. lol...
A lot of ppl in Aus have that issue too so i guess it's not a big problem maybe the next firmware update will solve it

any owner tried out the flash / torch application tt i posted earlier??

They said its the hardware-wise problem with the AMOLED screen itself not quite solvable with a firmware update.

there are only 5~15% users encountered this problem , so far watching the Desire review in youtube , I dont see any pinkish . The Desire video I watched are usually HD.

yea... i read somewhere that someone did ask about this to HTC and HTC replied that it could be fixed with a firmware update..lol

Actually there are some videos i've seen got this pinkish tint on the screen thou , especially when in the camera app.



Look closely at 0.42 , somewhere when he lifts the phone slightly . U'll notice some pinkish tint there .



Look at this one at 1.11 when he slightly lifts the Desire , fairly obvious that it has a pinkish tint there . This thing will come out whenever there are slight Grey coloured things .




Yeah , lets hope it does but quite impossible .
I posted this is not to make people scared to buy this phone but to let people know what they are getting.
Its still a great phone and has very nice features.

I still considering getting this , Desire or the Nokia N8 which does 720p recording.

Heard from SIS source that Desire coming out soon but price wise still not confirmed...expect HD2 pricing or thereabouts.

i think will be slightly cheaper than HD2..

pretty exciting! Desire coming out soon... let's hope it's not one month soon but one week soon! I think it'll be a SEA release since Sg does have not it yet also.
