Actually Android Market has been available since Motorola Milestone started sale here. In fact, its even earlier if you count Nexus One and Milestone AP. So Legend is among the first to get Android Market but only limited to free applications. Google has made it clear that it has no plans to include Malaysia in the short term.

Mid of May? Sigh...We're like 2+ weeks away.

oh really? cos i din really check on moto milestone due to lack older software n lack of sense ui. nexus one i know definitely hv market due to it's a google experience phone....cos from forum i heard previous htc tattoo n hero doesn't hv market available...only da alternate slideME which hv very limited apps...but is great to know android market is available for desire cos it save lots of time for hunting apps throu other forum up n down....thx bro for da info

yeah 2 weeks plus is quite long...hope we cud get it earlier...but i'm wondering if da silver version is available?

personally i do not believe the desire will break 2.5k....i hv asked around and the retailer said most likely will be around 2.4-2.6k....if more than 3k is too expensive....judging that desire doesn't come wif large internal storage...

Nexus one is using Snapdragon processor...cannot compete la.. sweat.gif

HTC Desire is oso using a Snapdragon prcessor....basically everything is same between HTC Desire and N1 besides the following:

1) 576 ram on Desire vs 512 ram on N1
2) Single mic without noice cancellation on Desire vs dual mic with noice cancellation on N1
3) Sense UI on Desire vs native android on N1

besides this...everything else is same on HW n SW...even nw Desire is manage to hv voice to text n voice search without rooting

I read from some reviews they mention the difference on da speaker phone is not so significant between N1 n Desire....but to me i hardly use speaker phone....so dont think it will be a big drawback for me

so when choosing between nexus one and desire its actually

nexus one for call quality
desire for that extra juice for programs

or is there any other differences ?
*
considering there's no official warranty support locally for N1...i would said Desire is better cos to me i will need more ram to run programs n i dont need to talk on speaker phone.....

but it still depends on ur needs....if u prefer the native vanilla android interface over sense then get N1...

oh how could i forget abt da physical button n optical trackpad on Desire....tbh...physical button is way better than those on N1...user reporting that da touch sensitive button on n1 is not very responsive...trackball is nice especially on the lighting effects for notifications...but trackball does hv wear n tear issue n will become less responsive over time....

as far as i know there is no official warranty support for N1 locally...correct me if i'm wrong

i tried finding on youtube a video showing the differences between sense ui and vanilla... cant find any..

anyone got a video of it to share ??

grrr frustrations la.. but still holding out for original unit and not AP set
*
i not sure if there is vanilla android vs htc sense video...but if u wanted to know more on N1 interface i suggest u cud check on N1 review...there's are plenty of them in youtube

i'm not sure as well but i think you are right...
i guess what you mean is the OFFICIAL distributors or something like that since N1 is not announce in m'sia right..
yeah man!
7 Screens(htc sense) compared to 5 screens(n1)
once you use android, you wished you had more screens... lol...
*
yeap...tt's wat i mean bro..

regarding da physical n touch sensitive button i cud confirm on it...no matter how responsive da touch sensitive button out of da box it won't be as responsive over time...as this is y ppl would like a physical kb over a touch screen kb

actually i'm oso exciting over this desire but thinking google will hv a conference next month n wonder if android 2.2 will be announced...plus i'm pretty sure htc will make a gsm version for da 4g evo....i might b wrong but somehow i hv faith wif this....like previously they hv a 4g wimax phone for Russian then after 6 months they come out wif htc touch hd wif a slight change in physical design

I'll write a short review soon and maybe you could pinned on the main thread...
you could pinned the photos and/or videos too..  biggrin.gif
I don't think there's an option to do that but i bet there will be developers who will make a widget/app. smile.gif

u could check Here

I dont hv a Desire but user fr XDA reporting the apk does work fine and well for them...now they r hoping da creator to design a toggle switch widget and make the "ON" feature to be brighter

mayb to the member who own a Desire cud check n try this out
