to me, is not a big issue.. so far only the HTC site show a little pinkish, i ask my gf, she say it's fine.. lol...
A lot of ppl in Aus have that issue too so i guess it's not a big problem maybe the next firmware update will solve it

there are only 5~15% users encountered this problem , so far watching the Desire review in youtube , I dont see any pinkish . The Desire video I watched are usually HD.

Anyway, RM2290 for Desire isn't entirely baseless. True, the N1 is around this price. But its not available in this country. Availability through imports don't count. Still the RM2299 price point is left vacant in the Malaysian market.

Also... only geeks or enthusiasts like us care to buy or consider Nexus One. Normal people buy whatever phones officially sold in Malaysia. The statistics say it all.

if I buy now at Rm2.3k ... and when sis set of 2.3k release , I wont feel any dissatisfied .. because I am going to root it after 2 4 months of usage . .. After root it will void the warranty , because a "unlock" sign will show when phone reboot .

cant , it would not be the same as Iphone . Let me clarify 1st ,  the rooting wont void the warranty , but in order to root , you have to modify the bootloader  , modify the bootloader is voiding the warranty . Bootloader is someting that you cant flash with stock bootloader , once it is modify , it stayed there forever. When you start your pc , a black screen appear first right ? that's one bootloader.

And do you know why you shouldnt wait and grab  the ap set faster ?

so if you want to wait for htc sis set , it maybe upgraded to a the firmware which Paul talking about , making you cant root your Desire . Just like new Iphone 3GS cant be jailbroken , I remember it is  OS 3.1.3 , correct me if I am wrong .. root is having root access making you can use apps to SD 

btw , I am getting my Desire on tomolo , Rm2340

remember to unroot back n restore to the ori setting, still can claim, dun worry..

If we are familiar enough with how HTC do things or design around their hardware, nothing is really irreversible. Their WinMo phones are a good example. HSPL can be removed and re flashed with stock SPL. Their Android phones however deals with recovery firmware, etc. Slightly different food chain hehehe... but don't worry. We have XDA Developers. We'll get there soon enough. Hopefully rooting or custom flashing will be easier to regular users like you and me.

not fair ? lolz compare with Iphone , almost same the price la ... sorry to making this sound offended , if this is out of your budget , get Legend instead  , or save more money  ..... You cant expect the price of the phone is same as your expectation price , Rm1.8k ~2k for this monster phone ?Then who is going to buy Legend and Nexus ?? lolz .. the Legend and Nexus controlling the price of Desire  C'mon , high end gadget wont come in cheap , you are paying for what you get.. Or you can order from clove.uk (Rm1.8k , but praying for not getting catch by kastam ) , or wait for 5 6 months for the price to decrease ~ Rm2.3k is acceptable price for me    , one of the best phone on the earth !
