QUOTE(mhyug @ Jun 26 2010, 02:46 PM) aya this is heresy i say!!portugal v spain. chile team suffer major set back with three player missing next match i believe. hard for them to defeat brazil i think. last night i think spain play not very good though they control the game they did not push on to kill the game off with one more goal when chile are one man down. though i was hoping chile will score one more goal to level the game and make it all south american team win their group and not loss a single game, but not much chile can do with a man down and facing such strong midfield of spain.deng i wanna see spain v brazil and see who can kick sama buntut itu dunga.....owh well it might be chile as well as they have done it before. |

QUOTE(robertngo @ Jun 25 2010, 03:14 PM) though there is some totally bogus call from the ref in this world cup, we have not yet seen one dive that is so blatantly outrages like the following and still get an penalty, though i suspect is may happen in the remaining game. lol Torres tried to emulate this last night...what the hell was that ref thinking?the action happened in front of his eye and he gave a penalty???wow |

I was amazed yesterday. Chile played one of the most exquisite football of which I haven't watched for a very long time.
It was fast paced football with precised and creative passes, and almost perfect off the ball run (movements). They were very fast in winning the ball as well. The dribbling was fantastic and they were brave to try whatever they are good at and never held back even when they were one man down. I respect that. Almost all their forward players used both legs to pass and control the ball. Oh ya, ball control. It was fun to watch them control the ball in such manner that Spain were left bedazzled and not knowing what to do when they came up against players like that. Just love it. They lack of discipline and that's what cost them the match. I know people will root for more organized and disciplined football. |

This will almost be the same as Brazil vs Chile back in 98' WC. It won't be as exciting as before but it will be interesting those 2 come against each other. Chile were fantastic and Brazil were awesome like always but the main difference is Chile lack of discipline while Brazil portrays one of the most disciplined football in THIS world cup.
This lackness will again cost Chile the match but expect nothing less from chile as I'm predicting they will break the deadlock while Brazil will comeback slowly from it. From my point of view, apart from being discipline, Brazil were also almost consistent in all their matches except for the match against Portugal. Dunga used that match to give some of his young players a chance to experience themselves the pressure to come up against a team like Portugal. It was a good move and they were not disappointing in my book. So, my answer is No. Chile will not have a hard time to attack Brazil but they will have a hard time to capitalize their chanceS against them while Brazil will have a hard time scoring but eventually, they will score.... and not just once. Brazil will have to bring their A game for this and if they do just that, expect one of the most best football match in World Cup 2010. Edit:Just my 2 cents and yes I might be wrong~ This post has been edited by gto87: Jun 26 2010, 06:25 PM |

QUOTE(mhyug @ Jun 26 2010, 06:37 PM) well chile have beaten brazil in the qualification stages in the past.so who knows what will happen. Well, if my memory serve me well, Brazil were not impressive in their early qualifying stage. I suppose maybe Chile beat them in that particular time frame. Brazil evolved later then and became more effective. But, I love surprises, so hope Chile will do something about it. |

both brazil and chile know each other well so the game will be similar in the qualification i doubt ??? it's world cup stage their tactical and strategy will be much difference imo i.e knock out and will going all out to win therefore should be interesting encounter to watch hopefully NOT on defensive gameplay later lol ... so predict 1-0 or 2-1 for brazil

QUOTE(Davidtcf @ Jun 26 2010, 03:11 PM) Ok, my secret fav team to win it. I followed the argies since 78. Ossie, ricardo, kempes, pasarella were my childhood pins. They have the greatest footballer (hand of god).People may lament his credentials as a manager, but he sure can rile up his players 10x, even as we know the argies are passionate players. They might find Mexico tough to crack but once passing the mexicans, I'll sure they will get it right this time. The only weakness is how much veron legs can orchestrate Argentina in crucial stages. Upfront no problems. Added on June 27, 2010, 10:30 am QUOTE(whoopa @ Jun 27 2010, 03:46 AM) Both played really well. USA were galant & fought to chase Ghana, credit to Ghana who didn't play too negatively even when they were leading. (some little time wasting but not bucketful of loitering unlike some big teams when they were up. USA were playing 'smarter' than England Much have been rediculed about this world cup but from what i've seen, the level of football are really high. (the asians, oceania teams were bowling pins for the traditional veterans teams. Maybe the cautious group stages are gone & teams will come of their shells. This is building to be a great WC. We only need 'one' magical player to stand out to bring his team to glory like in every WC. We always say football is a team game; but in WC, it always takes someone special to bring that magic that we so love WC. (ok the last WC was overall boring This post has been edited by koolspyda: Jun 27 2010, 10:30 AM |

QUOTE(Davidtcf @ Jun 27 2010, 12:23 PM) match is 28th june 2.30am le bro.. maradona is playing messi (in barca he's more upfront) they way he (maradona) played when he (M) caused much damage to world cup team (esp when he help win it for argentina)Added on June 27, 2010, 11:25 am yea man.. the last world cup they got trash by the monster playing style of the germans... rolling through them like it was rugby.. somemore argentines are small size than them.. hope this time they come up with some good tactics against the brash playing style of the Brazillians and Germans... messi is special, maradona knows it. they have massive talents in tevez, kun, higuain, milito, javier OMG! coming as if dream team. the only weakness is the short of cover midfield creativity for veron. when he is out their range may be limited. Brazil plays ultra 'european' now unlike the free flow of the samba style. this world cup is about magic. i'ven't seen it so far from brazil. portugal is in better position to rise compared to brazil if only CR only realised his big stage potential. this is becoming an pattern for maradona, everytime before argentina game he will make some outlandish comments, now he is accusing a former mexico coach of treason.
http://g.sports.yahoo.com/soccer/world-cup...?urn=sow,251577 this is the genius of maradona, making this totally insane comments to take spotlight from the player before the match, making them able to focus on the match and not the media.
