I can PM the place to u, u go n deal urself Quickerzranoid, i dont wanna advertise the name of the place coz the dealer says his competitors complain that he sells at a low price & that it damages his competitors bis. But i dont know if it its true coz its up to each dealer on whatever price he wants to sell the item...right? Anyway i,m not a bis man & dnt know how it works..but this dealer .. as far as i have heard the price in forums .. .. this is the lowest.. good luck!!!! Yeah i'm using 1000D alright.

Either the Ixus 100/110 IS or the Powershot SX120 IS. Both are catering for different segments of the market, I suppose - Ixus to the younger generation and the Powershot to the more serious ones.

All ranging from RM1k-1.4k
just wondering which 1 is worth to get...mm..for my gf..usage wise is more into daily capture. fast capture and nice picture quality.

Is Samsung nice? we're pretty attract with the Samsung 2 screen function.

Wanting to get a compact waterproof camera, been asking prices around and reading reviews online.
Reviews says that FT1 IQ is better than mju 8000
But walking around in KL.. it's hard to find FT1 in stock, a silver one is even harder to find, and most keep telling me Mju 8000 is better in overall

sometimes need to take close up pictures with low light even dark, sometimes need to take pictures at the edge of roof/ceiling.

u can try ask for a memory card, screen protector, and probably a bag

LX3 for buildings (wide lens), landscape (huge sensor for a compact), low light (fast summicron lens), and portrait (shallow depth of field)

what do u mean by taking pictures at the edge of roof? do u mean u need good zoom?

look for Nikon D3000, Canon 1000D and Canon 450D (this one a bit over ur budget). if u dont mind second hand, try to find a Nikon D40, D40x, D60... and also Canon 350D and 400D. a secondhand D80 fits ur budget as well, but i wont recommend for beginners

main difference between DSLR n PNS is that DSLR can change lenses...so u can have different lens for different purpose. other benefits are of course better colours, almost no shutter lag..basically more creative control lah. but kinda rugi if buy DSLR but juz play with the lens that it comes with (not buying extra lenses), because some PNS n superzooms can beat it in certain situations

Any specific features u want? : Fast shutter speed/non blurry pics and good quality

Im actually comparing these two the SX120IS and S230.

SX120 - Great shutter speed, superior specs than s230, canon(great service and warranty) but the downside is bulky, not a trendy design and price is near to 900+/-

S230 - Slim, Touchscreen(although not very responsive), Price is roughly RM500-600,. But been getting opinions from users that the quality is bad, things fail easily and image quality is blurry.

Im looking for more feedbacks regarding the two cameras. Im keen to know of the quality build between the two and which is worth getting. Open for other camera recommendations in the budget.

yes.. a good zoom since that area is not reachable...
