The best burger is still Wendy's because the taste is delicious, and not too extremely expensive.. but of course not cheap comparatively with others

can be more specific abt the location? coz almoz 90% street burgaaaas use ramly patties

You can say that I'm generalizing the street burger to ramly burger because they are using the same ramly patties...
But of course each of the street burger stall have their own creativity

If you're adding "American" burgers that are not in Malaysia, In N Out burgers in California is the best. But I agree with stimix, Ramly burger ftw!

In N Out burgers are the best! Loved them, especially the freshly cut (I love how they cut them where the patrons can see them being cut) and cooked fries.

Local street burgers? Ramly burgers, but not all are equal. Some of stalls cook them nicer than others. I used to love the ones in Bandar Tun Razak (near BHP station) and Kampung Baru (near the 7-11), but I don't know if they are still there. Nowadays, I usually get similar ones (not Ramly but some other brand.. "Otai" I think) in Desa Sri Hartamas. I don't eat them as much as I used to, after finding out the Ramly burger meat is made up of about 20% fat! So I only have them once in a while. I also make my own burgers (copy Jamie Oliver's recipe).

I tried Otai b4, the guy there tell me, "try our otai meat, fresh, healthy, low fats!"(which is 80cents extra than the normal one)
okay, i decided to try that..
then, the otai meats end up much more oilier than the normal one.. =,= i rly speechles.s. X.x

Don't bs. In US Wendy's sells mostly beef and ppl buy mostly beef anf there is nothing spectacular about any of their chicky stuff.

The burger in chili's is good and big. Carl's Jr one better than mc D... unlike mc D so damn small.

Really? Maybe the guy cooked with extra margarine or something? The one's I've had looked and tasted about the same as Ramly.

I can't speak for everyone but when I was in the US and went to Wendy's I usually ordered their chicken nuggets (since they came with BBQ sauce). For beef burgers I preferred the local diners (except when I lived in California where I went for In N Out), and ate the house burgers. I avoided McD, BK and Wendy's burgers unless I had no choice.

RAMLI burger also varies wan la, some nice some not nice.

SS15 has a popular one, near Asia Cafe. I think the VAN serving wan. i haven't go, friends ask me to go the other day but i already tired la.

as for fast food - I'll go KFC OR Fillet burger, if not also Wendy's triple beef!

BK's mushroom swiss is nice.

Carl's? that one i went 2 years ago, never went back. some people like, i didn't. even Wendy's i went 3 times, but in the end decided that going Chilis / TGIF is still best. get to eat proper beef, can set to medium-rare some more. with better service.

McD? that one i only eat when i have nothing else better to eat. McChicken, Big Mac or Double-Cheeseburger la.

Klang got one OM burger also, i think. I didnt rly remember the shop name when i go eat there. Got Fish Burger, nice, and got two more RM9++ burger, no idea whats the filling, gotta try one day.

Anyone still remember Arby's? They had some really unique roast beef sandwiches which were yummy. Last I had them was > 10 years ago when I was in California.

White Castle? Those small burgers are really something. Haven't had them since my college days in the US although Harold and Kumar brought back some memories haha.

Arby's.... now that bring back great memories of stopping by their outlet on Jalan Bukit Bintang (back then the road was a 2-way street) to tapau their sandwiches back home (they are not burgers, but rather sliced roast beef). Didn't see them for ages until I moved to New York.. loved their special sauce and curly fries. Delicious. Preferred it to McD, BK and Taco Bell. Too bad we don't see it here anymore.

White Castle - yeah those tiny burgers.. had them when they had an outlet opposite the old Rex cinema at Petaling Street. Nothing special to me, just a rather interesting concept with the small sizes.

A diner at my old university, The White Spot, had an infamous burger called the Gusburger. Double beef patties, a bulls-eye egg (with soft yolk), jalapenos, onions, tomato, pickles, and who knows what else. It was one of those things you would only eat at 3am on a dare from your friends after a night of partying while completely smashed. It was said only the drunk idiots would eat that nasty stuff. I never had it, but I had a roommate who loved it so much, he would have it while sober! Then again, this was the roommate who ate my BBQ sauce with white rice, and spread mayo on his pizza.

Yes I know, but there are not many of them and certainly none in NYC that I know of.

fast food in us not all is everywhere... only fastfood i know is virtually everywhere is mcds..

Bangsar chili's is famous for burgers. No doubt. Then there was carl's junior, wendy's. mcd's a&w etc etc and a million more including all the ramli burger in front of 7-11's.

Today i think i found the competitor for chili's burger. its a nice corner lot along solaris mont kiara called Meat house. love their portobello burger !
they sell halal meat too. price wise, i think shud be around the same price as chili's, i forgot how much i paid coz i was happy.

Well I had some nice burgers recently but it wasn't in Malaysia. Back in Oct, I had a couple of gourmet burgers in Hamburger+ in London for about GBP6 (incl fries). Delicious... how I wish I could have such gourmet burgers here. The closest I can get here would be Chilli's old-timer burger which cost about RM20.

Sigh.. everytime I compare the prices, I feel really poor, coz we earn so much less here, and our purchasing power is so low compared to many other countries...

I guess the nearest we need to go to for great burgers, both franchised and local would be HongKong. Triple O's, MOS, Fatburger are some I would like to try during my burger connoisseur next year

the only burger vans that i like is on the M4 and right outside the A34 expressway.

if u eat the wendy's burger in ioi mall, u will feel like throwing the burger at em, while in jaya one and mont kiara, they taste great.

I once taste "Spicy Chicken Burger" frm Wendy's in Jaya One but taste more like "Salty Chicken Burger" and hardly taste the spiciness

One thing I like about the UK burger vans are that they also grill a ton of the big white onions next to the beef patties, and the onions give out such a delicious and mouth watering aroma that leaves you drooling like a madman!

I've only tried the outlet in Timesquare and Sunway Pyramid. Beef burger was awesome. The chicken so-so only. Avoid the baked potato. Its like flour mixed with water wrapped in my Ripcurl leather belt.

On a different note, if you're out for good and cheap baked potatoes, look no further than KFC's. I've only tried the one in their headquarters(KuchaiLama) and it was fantastic!!

Oh how i miss Shake Em Buns in Causeway Bay. Their menu consists of titles with sexual innuendos...not a good place for family gatherings

For me what is missing in Malaysia burgers are pork bacon!!!!

But I agree, Ramlee has one of the best fillet (for their beef that is, don't fancy their chicken)

the MOS i tried was in Taiwan. So healthy =.= they have this vegetarian burger which consist of lotus stem and shredded carrots. They use rice patties with a piece of seaweed.

The sweet & sour beef patty was good. Burger size pretty small.

Cristang's at 8th avenue PJ....famous for their pork burger

For restaurant-style of burgers, Tony Roma's actually is doing a rather good job.
Though their steak sandwich is better.

Om Burger is hands-down the sloppiest and now probably most famous (after winning the BEST street burger title) burger joint on the streets.

No comment on the burger cos haven't tried, but the sides (mashed potato & biscuit) is a lot better than KFC, however the fried chicken sucks. I dunno if it's just the Malaysian Popeye's that sucks tho, cos it's been like 6-7 years since I last had U.S. Popeyes, can't remember the taste.


Went there on a friend's recommendation, sucks. The patty itself is "ok," but the rest of the burger is crap and worse than street-side Ramly burger.

And yeah, In N Out is seriously the best fast-food burger I've ever eaten. Dunno what kind of drugs they grind into their patties.

sadly i disagree on tony roma's...had burgers twice there and both turned out bad...they had grissle in the patty and the overall texture sucked...
