yes you can. If you can use it with 1Mbps or lower than you can use it for 4Mbps no problem. For unifi, thats a different story.

Their modem/router is just ok for home users i.e. it will do pretty much what home users need and some more.

You don't need to setup anything if its just a simple 1Mbps to 4Mbps upgrade since the modem will do the job by itself and detect the new sync speed rate. As for the router, you can use your own if you want to.

What to do with the free modem/router? Keep it in case yours got fried by lightning smile.gif

use

the tmuser username enables you to log in but unable access to the modem settings.

Probably can't because if the rate (downstream) is increased to 4096 (from 1024), then your line's SNR margin gonna drop significantly and cause frequent disconnection. You could opt for a indoor rewiring and see the results. If that doesn't work then maybe can rewire the outdoor wiring (from the poll to your house) and see how it goes.

However before doing any of that please CONFIRM FIRST that your line CAN SUPPORT 4Mbps. No point of doing all that rewiring if 4Mbps is not even available in the first place.

PS: Reason for rewiring is that it will improve your line's status.
