Anyone here who subscribed to 4Mbps package but speed was capped at 6 Mbps or 8Mbps here? If yes, mind to report it what is the maximum speed test you get and the stability of the connections please?
Thanks!
TmNet caping works in two ways generally. If they set you at 8Mbps and even if your account is capped at 4Mbps , at most you can get is full 4Mbps (maybe say 5Mbps at most). Setting it to 8Mbps ,w ould cause SNR margin to drop , which is not recommended.

Checked my modem and everything seems to be fine. Up is 4096 and down is 512 and the sky is blue, etc etc.
I just called the installer and he said apparently the server didn't update my status during the night and that's why I'm still capped. According to him, the server updates every midnight and if my status wasn't updated then there must have been a server crash or something.
At least that's his excuse anyway

Now he's telling me to wait till midnight again and if still nothing he asked me to sms him so he can email the technical people to do it manually. What laaa... tomorrow Saturday already, if nothing happens tonight obviously nobody will be in for Sunday right? That means have to wait till Monday night till something can happen is it? Haihhh... Why can't he just email them today and be done with it already!

Added on December 11, 2009, 11:57 amOh huh. I just did a speedtest and now I get 2.5. So I'm guessing it'll go higher later? This is what you mean slowly getting my line speed increasing, huh?

Oh well as long as I get there in the end...
Oh and if anyone's interested, my IP's starts with 115 as well.
Wait you are not in 4Mbps route yet. The whole process takes 1 month to be exact. Im talking about getting upgraded , getting a premium IP , etc
