any 4mb user facing slow youtube until 1am? after 1am everything runs so smoothhhhh.

i apply for upgrade online, 2nd day got ppl call me and come to test line and now waiting for switch over...

I still get 218.111 IP's

however, previous restart was y'day night.'

Since it has changed to 115 IP's i prefer not to reconnect it.

This is the benchmarks for the connection speed.



Package SNR Line Attenuation
512 kbps > 12db < 60db
1mb > 12db < 55db
2mb > 15db < 40db
4mb > 15db < 30db



if your SNR and line attenuation meet that benchmark for sure your connection is superb.

try to disconnect and get a ip range start from 60 since its MAlaysian IP and connection also wont lagged much.
each time you connect, the BRAS (Broadband Remote Access Server) will assign IP which is not used from internet cloud to users.
the connection will be routed to different BRAS if the current facing high traffic.

by this case you might have chance to get a different Ip range.

sometimes jb users will be connected to cyberjaya (cjb) server.

that how happens la ...

4Mbps users here... i always got 115. ip address, i find this is the best IP for me so far.

i juz wan to ask whether time broadband id a good ISP???

wahh so 4mb not confirm get 218 ip as i find 115 ip playing online is bad compare to 218 ip...

Following this thread from the beginning. Previously applying for 4Mb (new application) but TM technician checked the TMbox (he said) and informed that my line is not power enough for 4Mbps. Now, 1Mbps serving me, but.. not enough... I WANT 4Mbps! Looking at my SNR, it's good to go (am I?). Can someone, pls reconfirm this? If ok, I'll re-apply today ..

They've throttled youtube since 3 weeks ago.
You'll only get full speed from youtube after 1am until 7am, and even that.... not always certain you'll get full speed from YT.

TM can go to hell.

i dont thinks 115 ip can beat the legend 218 ip

Youtube is very slow and lagging on my 4mbps account

Streamyx is a scam. 4mbps but youtube is throttled to 20kBps.

when i am using 218 ip and youtube never lag infact is too fast...

Currently i m getting 115. ip.. streamyx just rang and inform me that they will upgrade me to premium IP.

Slowly we are using Premium IP. I've noticed that it connects back to 115 sometimes. Plus youtube is pretty slow

Well I seems to permanently stuck back in 115.13x since this morning no matter how many times I reconnect.
