The 42" is quite big for a small living room. And yeah, the panny can accept 1080p input but the panel is not native 1080p, it just rescales the input to the panel res. nod.gif

perhaps i can bring my 360 along to have a test before i'm going to buy a HDTV.
If that Sony Bravia S310 only costs RM2800/RM2999,
i think it really worth for the price,
Although it seems like it only support til 720P,
but its still a reasonable price.
I get for wat i paid...

Hi guys, I was at Best denki and I saw a Panasonic TH42PX70. 42' 1080p for RM5200. Now I need to ask the opnioin of people who own a big tv but have small rooms. My living room is only around 5- 7 feet. I am not that sure. So will the tv be too big since the space is too small. Or should I stick with a 32' instead. Thanks.

P:s that panasonic is really 1080p or just a chipset that can go to 1080p?

If you have that kind of budget, want a full hd and your viewing distance is 5-7 feet, I would suggest that you get the 37" Philips full hd. Cash price is RM4700 and if you're paying by card with 0% interest installment it's RM5000 at a shop in SS2 PJ. You can demo them at Best Denki but they're selling them at RM5499.

If you decide to wait for it to come out I'm pretty sure that it'll be very expensive and when the price do starts to fall, a newer technology will surely be on the horizon and the waiting game begins again. If you have the means to get the current range of HDTV I would suggest you do so and enjoy the full glory of high definition TODAY biggrin.gif

Wow... I think my wife and I would go for this. Can you give the the address of that shop. Is cheaper than Denki. Is it really full HD than a chipset that can go up to 1080p?

Panasonic TH42PX70 is a plasma tv right? how come it can support 1080p.  rclxub.gif

Bro, there are full HD plasmas. But, it would cost a BOMB to own it.

Pioneer has a few models of these under Kuro series. The native rez of the panel is 1920X1080

just got a samsung 32'...when they played it at shop..it look damn nice...the sharp colour..very clear...
but when i took it back home...plug into my ps3...it was horrible...!!! the colour is sharp...but..when it tries to show detail stuff..like grass or tarmac..it all got sticked together..making it blury...my old philips is even better than it!!
then i went to subang parade...and i notice..all samsung tv are like that..may it be full hd or not..same as to toshiba and sony...
so..those who are looking for new lcd...from what i see..philip and lg is the best...i should have bought that LG!!! damn it!!!

stevechan360:
Dont buy that Samsung!!! it's the model i bought!! you want it..i sell you..hahaha...
