My old 4G just changed into Continental tyre today. RM165 nett. Heard that the noise friction can be reduced. Planned to trade in the goodyear gt3 tyer and change in continental to my NHC as well. Anyone can show the performance chart of both tyre?
*
if u want to upgrade goodyear gt3 to continental cc1 not worth it coz u need to top $$$ for slightly better grip only as cc1 just normal family car tyres. last time i survey gt3 trade in only worth 70-80 per piece.
better to upgrade to michelin XM1(very durable, grip good) or bridgestone pp2(very good grip). premacy lc looks good but no size.
as very limited choice for 185/55or65/15 tyres.

btw any s spec NHC upgrade to 195 size but still using stock rims ??

I am planning to get it as well. Which shop are you going to get it from? Akaya? How much is it when you asked? If there's a discount for bulk orders, count me in, mate!

cheers,

now i got a question here. u know the mini light right in the middle of the city 5g roof. got 3 options ma that 1 ...off, door and on. when i put to DOOR la...it suppose to turn off the light if any of the door is shut completely right? Mine ar...if i dont on my engine la and my door is not locked. when i open the door and close it...the light is still there even though i put to the middle setting (door light) for a long time even though i was sitting in the car waiting it to dim/turn off the light...if i press the alarm and lock the car the light will go off slowly....now is this the right for my car and the rest or is something wrong with my car?
*
Barney,

it is normal.... it will not completely off if u close your door and no start your engine or lock your door for few min.

it will dim off completely after 1 or 2 min if u do nothing there... no worry, it is normal.. hehe. u can try it... just close your door without doing anything for few min. it sure will dim off after few min.

continental tyre is soften tyre and if the tyre is low profile , the side wall always happen crack
so better observe it

Hi guys...really need some inputs if possible. I'll be coming back to Malaysia soon (finally) and I'd like to buy my very first car. Honda city seems pretty much within my budget. i saw the price guide in The Star motoring and HONDA CITY 1.5L E i-VTEC will cost RM 89,980.00.

My question, will different dealers give different prices (preferable lower) and since the 2009 model has been out for a year now, I'd expect the price to drop. Should that the case? Would anyone what could be potentially be the lowest price possible for this model, ie: less accessories.

Thanks in advance for any input.

sorry for disappointing you, please check Honda Website and the price is up by RM500 for both S and E spec...

you need to tell us where is your location so some of the owners can recommend the dealer to you... less accessories then you would have to take S spec...

Seems like the latest price is RM90k for E spec. Well, I'm under the impression that prices quoted at websites are usually just a guide and dealers can give discounts and getting lesser accessories you can end up with a few thousands cheaper, RM2k maybe? I'll be staying in Sunway.

an off-topic question (and probably a newbie qns)...why would we not buy in Langkawi if it only cost RM60k there?

Coz you cannot drive it on the mainland roads if you buy it there... can la, maybe few days a year.
By the time you can bring it out of the island permanently, the car is no longer new.

Thanks...

S class is priced at RM85,480.00 (from the Honda website). Usually how much would the Honda dealers be able to discount or will they stick to the price and just throw in some freebies?

he told me best if stick with 16, 17 ok, but don't go wider than 205 cos the power steering pump may not be strong enough to tahan the weight, thus steering will become slower like kena stuck in mud.

i dont know how to tell if it sluggish or not coz i change the rims the 2nd day i got the car thumbup.gif thumbup.gif so far its ok but i think i pick quite bad tires as it a lil bit noisy....cornering quite good...it never hit the body whut so ever although entering tight corner at 120kph....
