want to ask something,,,,got any application for 3.1.2 3g jailbreak phone for soft home button,,,? i try search it but fail...

izzit possible if i remove Cydia to make my phone become normal?? or just restore to default factory setting from itunes?? because its really annoying to make a damn sure its not run out of battery!!! pls advise!! thx

just finished update my i2g to 3.0 with RedSn0w (Win 7)

will try to update to 3.1.2 tomorrow with Pwnagetool

i always left behind in updating to latest firmware hehe

i just notice that my FakeAPN is not working,normally when i on/activated the FakeAPN this msg will come out,Could Not activate cellular data network,now this msg appear [ Cannot Open Page',Safari Cannot Open The Page because is it not connected to the internet ]
even the msg come out,but i still can go throught to internet.
both my i3gs on OS3.1.2 now.,any solution for this problem?

Morning everyone, I cant to jb with blackrain on my new iphone 3GS from maxis, I just collected from maxis on 24th Dec. I tired a few times but stuck at reboot for a long time.....

PwnageTool offers 3.1.2 firmware upgrade for the i2G. I used the software with my MAC, and you can google if the latter works for Windows too. Either that or RedSnow would work for windows.

Correct me if i'm wrong for the steps to upgrade my version from 3.0 to 3.1.2 i3G.

- update this 1st from iTunes (shift + update) "iPhone1,2_3.1.2_7D11_Restore"
- once successfully, run blackra1n from PC & install Cydia & iCy from it.

or i just run the blackra1n only?

Question is:
- if i update, will my phonebook,setting & everything will lost cost when i Click restore from backup, it shows that "only phonebook contact & setting" something like that only will restore..how bout my song,pics & movie. Need expert here. TQ

suddenly i can't run cydia on my maxis 3GS jbed with blackra1n.

it just says "loading" and dumps me back at the home screen.

Yup, happen to me too just now. Loading & return back to home screen. Any1 can help or what to do?

looking online looks like some files need to be deleted. will try it out and let you know.

so here's what I did:

1) sync and backup my contacts and smses with itunes
2) do a full restore back to virgin 3.1.2 (if you're officially unlocked, no problem)
3) run blackrain
4) install cydia
5) DO NOT UPDATE cydia first
6) download and install Mobile Terminal from Cydia
7) update cydia as per normal

what i found is that, if cydia crashes it's probably due to some files which need to be deleted from the iphone (corrupted repositories, etc).

SSH into the phone and type "rm /var/lib/dpkg/updates/*" (without quotes) and hit enter.

Open MobileTerminal on the phone and type "rm /var/lib/dpkg/updates/*" (without quotes) and hit enter.

if all else fails, a full restore and reinstallation of Cydia will fix it.
