back to my problem, how to install SBSettings in 3gs with new bootrom ?
it just keeps rebooting after installation. any tips ?

my 3Gs 32gb is one week old. new bootroom. mine works perfectly. maybe you need to reinstall sbsettings.

please do read the pinned threads carefully. if you DID you would know that the latest 3GS uses a new bootrom, which means you will need to re-jb EVERY time your phone reboots or your battery runs out. Keep your cable handy.

i have some problem here when upgrading from 3.0 to 3.1.2

1) after completed restoring the fw to 3.1.2, itunes shows " the sim card inserted in this iphone does not appear to be supported"

2) redsnow 0.8 fail to recognize my ipsw. error msg is "unable to recognise specified ipsw"

though i still have problem with .ipcc.... itunes 9 shift+check for updates doenst point to .ipcc.. only shows .ipsw

that ipcc u need to check clearly.. confirm can use de.. hehe

Eventhough your phone is firmware 3.0.1(minor ugrade for sms), the IPSW you should select for the redsnow to work is 3.0, please follow the instruction from the iclarified website(http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=4302). hope you can solve your problem

Hello, I need your help to unlock the iPhone 3G which I have accidentally updated to 3.1.2.

I am currently hopeless due to the fact that my iPhone wifi is faulty, and at my understanding, it can only be unlocked by using blacksn0w's blackra1n.

I hope I'm wrong, but is there any way to perform unlocking without iphone connecting to the internet?

you can choose to access the internet via your data plan (3G/EDGE) or you can try this.

Im using iphone 3G official maxis set (using celcom simcard)
If JB using blackra1n, I can restore back to a clean 3.1.2 firmware using itunes right?
I asking this in case anything went wrong while trying to JB.
