I feel that our team lack of a menacing, big and strong attacking player.

We may need that kind of player to play against tougher English opponents who will put their players behind the ball...

Thats why previously there are rumours that Heskey might be coming back brows.gif

Torres and Gerrard's injury are causing us many tactical changes and reshuffling thus making our style of play a little bit inconsistant...

holland's formation is 4-3-3...kuyt is considered a wing forward rather that right wing there..

Torres alone is more than menacing & freightening enuf...
Obviously the midfield is in a mess at the moment & failed to supply 'ammo' to the targetman. Even tho if you get another 'strong attacking player', what can he do if he didnt get the ball?

I don't think midfield is the mess, is pretty simple analysis for Liverpool actually. If the team goal scoring is less, then problem is on the offensive side. If the team always conceding goals, that means lack of defense. If the team has a very bad possession, that will be the problem in midfield. Torres alone is not enough. ph34r.gif Btw, 78% possession in Birmingham game, that's freakin alot.

FYI, Kuyt played on the right wing for Holland before he joined Liverpool.
*
Kuyt was playing as a striker with Feyenoord.. scoring an impressive record of 83 goals in 122 games. Holland play with 4-3-3 formation.. just like Barça...with 3 forwards (strikers) not like our 4-5-1 formation.. with 1 striker.

Rafa plays 2 DM to protect backfour but goal is leaking non-stop.

I remembered Hamman as DM which make Hyypia + Henchoz looks tough to beat.

It is combination problem between defender and midfield.

Currently, aerial defending is very poor especially from set-pieces.

I don't know it is because lack of height or something else.

like Mourinho will want to sell Balotelli.

You seriously do not want Balotelli on your team. One minute he's playing superbly well, the next he's on the floor. This guy is run by emotions. Im not sure Rafa could tame him. icon_idea.gif

Kuyt mostly plays as a striker partnering van persie for holland i think. Since nistelrooy retired from international football.

Eljero Elia. More like a striker/winger. But seriously, do we need another dutch striker/winger biggrin.gif Supposedly a prodigy but bare in mind, Lucas and Babel were both considered hot prospects prior to their move to Liverpool too rolleyes.gif
