QUOTE(kazuki85 @ Nov 12 2009, 03:19 PM)
I feel that our team lack of a menacing, big and strong attacking player.

We may need that kind of player to play against tougher English opponents who will put their players behind the ball...

Thats why previously there are rumours that Heskey might be coming back brows.gif

Torres and Gerrard's injury are causing us many tactical changes and reshuffling thus making our style of play a little bit inconsistant...
*
Heskey's ability to hold up the ball and create chances for teammate are crucial for Liverpool but lacking of goals might be a turn off.

QUOTE(cherroy @ Nov 12 2009, 04:47 PM)
Rafa plays 2 DM to protect backfour but goal is leaking non-stop.

I remembered Hamman as DM which make Hyypia + Henchoz looks tough to beat.

It is combination problem between defender and midfield.

Currently, aerial defending is very poor especially from set-pieces.

I don't know it is because lack of height or something else.
*
i think all Liverpool CBs are 185cm tall and above. it's the marking and positioning that make Liverpool concedes goal from set piece.

QUOTE(visionary1993 @ Nov 12 2009, 05:03 PM)
You seriously do not want Balotelli on your team. One minute he's playing superbly well, the next he's on the floor. This guy is run by emotions. Im not sure Rafa could tame him. icon_idea.gif
*
yeah. it's up to Allardyce to tame him. just like what he did to Diouf and Anelka.

For a moment I thought I was reading Manchester United transfer targets.

Seriously, do we even have that kind of money to spend? Or are the owners/Rafa planning a surprise?

QUOTE(Mysterious Dr X @ Nov 12 2009, 07:44 PM)
Eljero Elia. More like a striker/winger. But seriously, do we need another dutch striker/winger biggrin.gif Supposedly a prodigy but bare in mind, Lucas and Babel were both considered hot prospects prior to their move to Liverpool too  rolleyes.gif
*
Well, Lucas has been one of our best players this season.

in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.
likewise, lucas seems to be the best as everyone has been playing like crap recently.

Well even when everybody played well (ManU match), he shined as well.

Honestly, cut him some slack already, he is fitting into the team really well and fulfilling his role. Not awhile ago we were moaning on the lack of creativity or attacking minded midfielders and now we got it covered with Lucas + Masch. When Aquilani's fit, we are gonna have 3 very able midfielders (4 if include Gerrard) and it's great to see what kind of combinations they could make.

reading this article further convince me that Rafa is indeed an enigma...
if you look at one side, he really hasnt done much for the club...but if you look the other side...there are many reasons to carry on supporting him!!

u mean nani? well, he certainly have the ability and quality plus shattered confidence. dunno if Rafa really want a flop at MU in his squad. Last MU player that he wanted to buy (Heinze) was not a flop at MU.

We dont need someone who live under another players' shadow.

We dont need someone trying hard to be another player when he is incapable of.

I'm satisfy with players like El Zhar, Kuyt who play their own football and play their hearts out.

i am not saying we should buy Nani but i think your statement is too harsh towards him..perhaps he is just trying to be a good or succesful player for his club..nothing wrong with that...

we need quality and whether the likes of El Zhar or even Kuyt bring you league titles is still questionable to me...no offence...

I'm not sure about him being QUALITY player. He is more like a luxury benchwarmers to me.No offense to anyone but it's just that he has done not much,be it on pitch or off pitch, to justify his price tag.
