Don't know if Liverpool would consider Roman Pavlyuchenko. I have high regards on this guy and I definitely don't want to see him playing with villains again. Price tag = 13 - 15 million pounds. That will solve one of the offensive problems. Another one is defensive, don't know how to solve it tho. cool.gif

I think Pav would be good as a backup for Torres. He's the ideal Target man type of player. At least he can be a really good potential match winner.

But he not content with the bench warming role.He want to play. We all know that if Torres is fit, there is no way he will be playing. Gerrard will be playing behind Torres. That's for sure.

They wrote there "loan"... money for loan should be available.Hicks did give hint that he will provide some funds in jan after sealing the sponsor deal we get back in July.

And we will be losing players for sure... Babel, Voro, Dossena all wanna leaveeeee tongue.gif

Torres is quite injury prone, so I think its ok to have rotation. Anyway in order to lure him, Liverpool would have to qualify for the next phase of UCL.

Then we can let go of Voronin and Babel tongue.gif.

The only problem now is.....money money money....

Personally i think Liverpool should revert back to traditional 4-4-2.
Gerrard shadowing Torres is great (offensive) but at times we are caught short in the middle.
With 5 in the middle of the park, whenever we are attacking, with the wingbacks overlapping, we are prone to counter attacks. Since we are short with wide players now.. i think its time for Kuyt to reclaim his position upfront

Torres/Kuyt/Ngog - Upfront

AM/CM - Gerrard/Aquilani

DM - Masch/Lucas

Wide Midfield - Babel/El Zhar/Riera/Benayoun

Back 4 are always fine only need fine tuning.

RED - Out and Injured

Loaning an expensive player for now is a very good idea. I know Pavlychenko is a good player, but whether his style suits us or not is another *cough* Keane *cough*

Or we can try loaning someone big and mean, like Mario Balotelli? brows.gif

Lucas is very much not a defensive midfielder.. he was an attacking minded central midfielder back then in Brazil. With Grêmio he was voted as the best player in the Campeonato Brasileiro, the youngest ever to win the award... he's not a kind of player who sit back deep, not good at all at winning back possession or tracing back opponents. He is a converted DM, just like Kuyt, Yossy and Babel, they're not a natural winger. rclxub.gif

Thats is why all this suggestion will only happen if Mascherano leaves so there is a space for Gerrard to fit in midfield. Palu seems fine warming up the spurs bench though.

yup. so true. unless Benitez revert his tactics. Put Gerrard in the middle and give him free role.

FYI, Kuyt played on the right wing for Holland before he joined Liverpool.
