QUOTE(davidbilly87 @ Dec 23 2009, 01:27 AM) ermm if old ver 2333 , then i know , because my friend using it, default setting , the color a bit yellow Thanks for your advice and now i got H233H! The first monitor lcd i bought for pc in my life! QUOTE(pergilahsayang @ Dec 23 2009, 05:46 AM) I think it is not wise to compare the contrast rate directly as other company uses different scheme/ method/ unit . Example like high end view sonic will use 20 000:1 DCI and for high end acer 80 000:1 ACM ( Adaptive Contrast Management ) . Looking at the number makes you wanna go for Acer for sure, but note that is uses different unit. I've tried to find pro vs cons for both and which is better about both units but failed to get any direct comparison. Im one of Acer H233H user now thank you for your advice as well~. Glad i choose this as monitor is soothing to my eyes and DAMN BIG screen on my pc table plus the spec is really well worth the money or "Best BANG for the hard earned BUCKS~~ Long live ACER~ Cool~ I do not know about Samsung 2333sw, but i am H233H user. Just bought it a week ago. And Rm 670 is way to expensive oi . I bought at the garage sales at Rm 659 . Some1 in lowyat also had seen H233H sold at Rm 599 in Pc fair. So walk around, find a good price yourself. H233H has 1.5W build in speaker which is loud enough for me. The only drawback is the direction of the sound is more at the back-top, hence it is advisable to have a wall behind the monitor to bounce the sound back to the front. If somehow u put the monitor in an open space / center of a room, people who are at the back monitor will hear the sound more clearer/ louder compared to the one facing the screen As for the display quality, yeah it is crystal clear. Really enjoyed watching HD drama and watching anime. Some tips , it is best if you go to the shop and compare it front of ur eye. It is best to watch the video demo instead of watching Wallpapers. Some shop will display the monitor with High definition wallpapers that will attract you, but at the same time do not be fooled. You'll get different opinion when you watch it play a real live movie instead ( not anime ) |

Proud user of Acer H233H also here..Just got new unit of Gbmid version..
Old 1, sold to fren..HuHu From the price entry, its 1 kind of best offer around within its range..Lotsa features with nice glossy piano finishing have been done by Acer..Great job there!! The crystal bright quite good enuff for me. Even Dell was bring such a good and xclusive LCD, for me the other xtra pro factor like higher color Gamut, SPVA / IPS panel etc is not so essential in term of standard viewing. Enough fulfill my Necessity instead of the Needs.. |

QUOTE(StereophileDream @ Dec 23 2009, 08:07 PM) whoops...ur right.... must have had my mind on something else when i typed the 1.3k anyway.... need some help with comparisons... 1/ main usage will be for gaming.... 2/ will be buying 2 for a dual monitor setup to be able to do work at home. 3/ work tends to involve ALOT (98% of the time) of spreadsheets, excel and SPSS data (which looks like excel sometimes) 4/ AOC 2434Pw vs Dell ST2410 AOC 2434Pw - 23.6" viewing area - 2ms (GTG) - 60000:1 (DCR) - dunno got anti glare or not - height adjustable - Easily available almost everywhere including garage sales - 3 year warranty - good aftersales support? - not all black - price between RM650-685 Dell ST2410 - 24" viewing area - 5ms (?T?) - 50000:1 (DCR) - anti glare - no height adjustable - can only order from Dell, abit leceh - 3 year warranty, if willing to pay more can get up to 5 years - all black front, rear is white and out of view so no issue - RM699 dell's 24" viewing area is really tempting...could use as much space as possible to display my work... but wat about the 5ms thing? i remember reading somewhere a long time ago that dell has a tendency of under rating their response rate. so 5ms dell is like 2ms to other brands or something like that...is this true? so pls...share ur thoughts. |

HDMI n RGB only? crap... means i have to buy DVI - HDMI converters.. but with the dell i have to buy DVI cables coz it only comes with RGB cables oh yeah... as a side note...anyone knows of any other good monitors below RM700 with VESA mounts?
