seriously the pseudo rings/pirated blast straps work way better and more solid. Those lashing straps with high tensile strength from climbing shops cost a bomb.

I will take a picture of the pseudo rings soon.

Everytime I watch one of Ross's videos, it reminds me of how weak and deconditioned I am & how much more I need to train just to reach half of what he is.
The dude's a beast!

Added on January 20, 2010, 6:03 pmOh yeah, lashing straps are still wayyyy cheaper than TRX. That stuff is made of gold fibres, I reckon...

Ken, any different between blast strap and lashing strap?

i saw the strap at ace hardware shop which selling RM2 per foot run. those normal and thin one

the strap used deadlift is definitely much more solid

just done the T Bar handle XD

but the flange just f***ing cant be found in hardware shop. went to at least 5 shop, all dont have. end up replacing it with GI tee

hey, comes to design this gironda dips equipment, i m quite confuse with the pictures in the link that i have provided below. It seems like the gripping is a little different. The one in the picture (not the drawing) seems to be easier to build thou.

Please refer here : http://www.ironguru.com/vince-gironda-dips

Just came back to my hometown last night and today feels like i have enough tools and equipment for my Bulgarian Sandbag and now i have one. Since i cant find a gym here, so might as well just train at home.

I have attach some of the pictures of my sandbag.

My tyre, those been discarded and i had washed them.

Total weight: 12kg

Prepare to do some upgrade on the handles.

Cost? Free biggrin.gif

Exercises performed:

Sandbag Swing

Squat x 20

bicep curl x 15

Front squat x 20

bicep curl 15

Lunge x 20

bicep curl x 15

Frog Jump x 10

Check out these DIY pieces of gym equipment:

Squat Stands with multi-level catches.

Dumbbell Rack (multi-functional: EZ Curl Bar holder, Weight Plates holder, Situp bar.)

They're all made of wood and are easy to assemble.

Homemade Parallel Grip Pull Bar

This homemade Parallel Grip Pull Bar is inexpensive to assemble. It's made of steel and best of all, there's NO DRILLING and NO WELDING required! thumbup.gif
With a parallel grip, you can minimize stress on the wrists and forearms while stacking up the plates on exercises like Pull-ups, T-bar Rows and more. You can even build a small, handier one to bring to your gym if it doesn't have one.

That's some awesome DIY's you guys have. Mine is not DIY but just making use of what I have.

I do dips using a ladder.

For squats, I use a plastic chair and a bench and some secondary/uni books to increase the height and to reduce the noise.

Sometimes I do parallel pull-ups(body horizontal to the ground) with my double-decked bed.
