Thought of making the dip station with PVC pipes and got the dimensions, but dad came in and said his staff could weld me one made from steel pipes with my dimensions. Lol. Gonna post it up after he gets it done this few days.

Width between the handles? I made it according to the video you posted up (Homemade Gym Equipment). It varies for different people. I intended to make mine more for tricep training instead of chest but I misjudged the distance a bit so its a little wider than I wanted. The width should be around the length of your elbow to your middle finger plus a few cm according to your preference. (Around 18-22 inches).

Why not make them with a V taper instead of parallels?

That could probably solve the width issue.

I think you are referring to this

user posted image

those are called gironda dips and the width at the end is approximately 32''

what makes the V-shape awesome is that is easier on the shoulders and U can vary the grip width easily.

I just drew an autoCAD file for this station and gonna get it fabricated very soon. I have done a crossfit type pullup bar with gymnastic ring and my own blast strap attachment. I will take a pic of it soon

Can't figure out how to make the V shape, with steel pipes its possible by welding but for PVC pipes I think it would be less stable?

I have a pair of those Olympic rings, cost me bout RM 150.

If you can't do at least 10 bodyweight dips, don't bother trying to use them.

I also built my own pseudo-rings aka blast straps, with 1/4 inch chains and d-handles, great substitute for the rings at half the price. I will take a picture when I m free
*
where did you get those olympic ring? RM150 is quite a nice price.
Can post the pic of your pseudo ring, want to get some idea how to build it
thanks

My next project would be a fat bar. Which would be damn handy since I don't have a barbell at home. Only complication is I can't find the Oly weight plates. Searched at Carrefour and Jusco, only got those small 1" diameter hole plates. Any ideas where to get oly plates cheap?
