Don't use other handsfree apart from SE to listen to music. It will conflict with the handfree's microphone. Use regular earphone. I have a Shure I2C (iPhone handsfree) and I have the same problem as you. No problem with my old SE HPM-70 + cord extender (take out the fastport portion).

Don't keep on reinstalling, let it settle. It will be like that for the first hour as the phone adjusts to the new software.

___

Very happy with the firmware's battery life boost. Today I tested under 'real-world' circumstances (ie how I always use my phone), usually by now it'll be about 50%, but today 77% rclxms.gif

So far only things I have issues with are social phonebook and the new LED notification (shorter blink after receiving SMS, no shutoff after finish charging - shorten LED lifespan). In-call volume is as crappy as ever but that has always been an issue.

Despite all the eye candy (the transitions and animations are really beautiful, my friends were gasping when I showed them) the phone is still very fast.

Kudos SE! Now please fix the problems I mentioned earlier and IN-CALL VOLUME PLEASE. I got a call in a noisy area today and I could barely hear anything.

Oh it is? I though me is the only one facing this issue. Lucky you got backup to SD card. Mine, I have to restore from the sony ericsson portal and it is slower and take times.  sad.gif

Yea but for contacts with multiple number for example home and mobile number. When I backup from SD Card, I only get the home number, I lost the mobile number ):

your phone needs to be rooted in order to use app2sd and all apps will be installed into sd card.

Here are my experiences on using app2sd :-

1. Better to install it when your phone is freshly updated or formatted. If you install it after you have installed 3rd party applications and after the reboot, all the applications can't be seen although they were successfully transferred into your sd card and you'll have to reinstall them back again.

2. It's good to have a better Class micro sd card instead of the original 8GB card because the one that comes with the phone is only Class 2. I'm using Class 10 card and my phone is really responsive and no lag at all.

3. Once app2sd is installed, never ever take out your micro sd card from the phone because it will screw up everything and you'll have to reupdate/reinstall the phone firmware and reinstall everything from scratch.

4. To make sure that all your applications are installed into your card, just install Linux Reader software into your pc and you can see all your applications are inside the app folder.

Another way is, in the Minitool Partition Wizard, just right click the ext2 partition and select properties. It will show you that the partition is being used...this is mine..

For instance, my internal memory was 402MB after I fresh install 2.1 firmware and now it has 357MB left although I've installed 120MB worth of applications.
