yup it'll take WiFi over 3G. I'm on prepaid, so my data charges are quite expensive.. so I'd like to limit it. I remember seeing an option to use only WiFi for data in the phone when I was playing yesterday.. can't seem to find it now :S

edit: found it! Advanced settings of WiFi settings.

another question, I have a lot of contacts in my M600i, what's the best way to sync 'em over? or can I just Bluetooth? can't get the Moxier apps to work because I don't have an email account which is active on Outlook.. or should I just put my Gmail there?

Well the easy way is to setup Google Sync on your M600i. Since M600i using symbian u can upload contact and calendar. Instruction can be found here, http://www.google.com/mobile/sync/. It should be the same as Nokia S60 instruction or you can try check at SyncML instruction.
X10 got SMS thread mode. It is the same right? and as for the GPS i dont know because not yet try the WisePilot app.
Try look at here, http://www.google.com/mobile/sync/.

hmm I'll try that out. thanks for the tip bro! biggrin.gif

i try uploading photo to facebook using X10. the size is the same if i upload directly using computer.
*
the problem occurs if I use 'take photo' from the Facebook app and upload it straight. if I take the picture first, and upload from the album using the phone later, no problem.

on another note guys, does any have any issues with using the music player with a regular earphone? I have a Shure I2C and the sound is terrible, it sounds very muffled and I can't hear any of the layers properly as compared to when I use it with my Walkman. when I use other earphones it's fine, business as usual.

1. the camera is disappointing.. no xenon is acceptable but it doesnt even hav flash shooting.. only camera light and there is no shortcut on the interface to quickly turn in on.. had to go into settings.. there is also no auto focus light.. generally its horrible for night shooting

2. the screen sensitivity is pretty poor.. without multi touch is acceptable.. but the sensitivity is way too poor compared to iphone.. sometimes hav to tap few times to register.. even my n97mini with resistive screen respond way better

*
1. Hold down the shutter button for a few seconds to quickly turn on the camera. almost all SE phones are like that. as for the lack of AF light.. tell me which camera phone has that? I personally think it's enough to replace my point-and-shoot. Every onboard flash sucks anyway, better off without. For other purposes there's always the SLR.

2. I agree with you. I can live without multitouch, but an insensitive onscreen keyboard is a no-no. The iPhone's keyboard is so much better, I can make far less errors on it and it's snappy and responsive. Sometimes I feel like I'm on a resistive screen where I have to press to get some input recognised.

This phone needs a software update to make it a really viable option over the iPhone.

I agree with you guys on the X10. I have very mixed feelings towards it. It doesn't suck, but it feels seriously buggy and underperforming. nowhere near its full potential.

Added on April 8, 2010, 1:32 pmDid anyone try to go facebook using browser? At the first no problem, but now it show invalid page or something like that. You guys also the same?

hmm, has anyone's Mediascape 'stopped working' for music?

mine doesn't remember my recently added and last played anymore, it's all blank now sad.gif

I can live with it but it's a slight annoyance. Photos work fine though.

Added on April 18, 2010, 12:34 pmI wanna avoid having to do a factory reset on the phone because all my settings will be wiped out.

Added on April 18, 2010, 12:44 pmok now it works again after I played a track from start to finish. previously I didn't have to for the track to register in Mediascape's history.

this phone is littered with little bugs that need to be fixed fast if it really wants to grab a fair market share. the on screen keyboard is especially annoying.

exactly my point, all those are bugs that can be ironed out smile.gif

what annoys me the most are the Wifi and keyboard imprecision actually.

the phone has good potential, but only if SE acts fast and irons it out. otherwise I see myself getting tired of this pretty fast. only reason why I chose the X10 over the Droid/N1/Desire was because of Timescape and Rachael.

anyone noticed that Facebook and Twitter updates via Timescape are getting slower lately? took a few minutes to get my not-so-latest feed.
