I just bought X10 last Saturday and this is my first smartphone, all I can say is I really love this phone. Initially wanted to buy iPhone but I think I've made a right choice.

Eventhough it runs on 1.6, it does not disappointment me at all. I've installed ADW Launcher, Beautiful Widgets,Ndrive, Sygic, Papago, some games and applications and I got everything that I wanted on a phone.

I got an AP set for RM1480, black.

Install Beautiful widgets and you can move left and right...

I never try a x10 mini so I don't really know what's the difference, the reason I choose x10 is because of the screen size at a very reasonable price.
if you want to compare the UI smoothness between iPhone and x10, I would say iPhone wins hands down, since this is my first smartphone and never tried any other smartphone besides iPhone, I really like the phone a lot although it's running on Android 1.6. This phone is highly customizable. It's no big deal for me if SE will update the firmware to 2.1 later this year as this phone right now serve me what I want on a smartphone. Cheers...

you can always use a 3rd party keyboard application, for instance I'm using Ultra Keyboard which has xT9 feature.

yeah, once you install a 3rd party keyboard, enable it and make it as your default keyboard, what ever applications that require you to type the 3rd party keyboard will pop up instead the standard one that comes with the phone. yeah you can get a lot of 3rd party keyboard on android "Market" and you don't need to root you phone. I'm using an unroot X10 and I get all the eye candies for it. ADW Launcher + Beautiful Widgets = really cool pretty (even my wife now want to get rid her 4 months old N900 to get a X10)...

my wife finally sold her 4mths old N900 and bought a white X10.....

unfortunately the X10 doesn't support video calls....

@razyzrblade, I got black and my wife got white...seems that the white is much more cun....I know why you want the white..anyway just browsing through decalgirl.com...a lot of nice skins for X10....

I think the HD one only can be installed on 2.1 and above..here's the screenshot of AC HD

like I said the HD version can only be installed on Android 2.1 and above as X10 is running on Android 1.6, X10 will get the 2.1 update later end of October...

dxTop Pro is awesome..better than ADW Launcher...

Both my wife and mine are French set and the software was 023 and updated them to 026. I read in some forums that 026 gives better battery life.

so far my french set using 026 is working very well no lag or what so ever even with wifi, the only one thing that I don't like is the battery will drain so fast when I'm using GPS navigation.

the best thing with dxTop Pro Home Launcher is, it comes with task killer and it's very handy...

There are 2 versions of HOA installation file, one is for X10 (firmware 1.6) and the other is for firmware 2.0 +....

@sunny boy, I don't know why your X10 can't be updated using the method I mentioned... I'm no king lar..just an enthusiast only trying to fully utilize my gadget, I don't want later when ppl see me with this phone and ask questions then can't answer sure kena tembak...

Try to use Squish for Screen Transition on dxTop Settings instead of Cube... I found this better than Cube..

Like I said dxTop has a built in task manager so that you can kill any unused apps running in the background, to free up some memory..

Indon set, no wonder lar...

that's why I said dxTop Pro is better than ADW Launcher...the built in task manager is really useful and the screen transition is really cool

ok like this,

1. you open up the apps drawer, then press the Menu button, choose "Change View". choose Category.

2. Now pick an icon let say a game, tap & hold the icon and release (when you feel the vibration), a pop up menu will come out.

3. Choose "Set Category" and choose "New Category".

4. In the Category Name field, type Game and tap the OK button.

The icon will be placed under the Game section. Repeat the steps for creating other categories.

Just drag the rest of the icons to their respective categories...
