any users having such issue?

Weird thing number 2: Apparently you can not charge the phone when it is off. I don’t mean when it is “sleeping” I mean o-f-f, off. I shutdown the phone completely. Attached the USB cable, and when I plugged it in to the wall to charge, the phone turned itself back on, full boot up and everything. Weird, right?! The HTC Magic doesn’t do this. I’ve seen people in the forums say this is so you won’t miss calls while charging your phone, but really, shouldn’t it be up to me to decide that? Should I be the one to decide if my phone is on or off when charging?

Thank you for contacting Sony Ericsson Xperia™ Support.
In regards to your email, the part you referred to is the “AC adapter” which allows you to connect your phone to a wall mounted outlet. The battery lasts longer if you charge it frequently. Therefore, this is not a problem if your Xperia™X10 takes a very long time to charge completely. I encourage you to let it charge until it’s fully charged.
This is a factory default settings which makes the X10 turns itself back on after you’ve turned it off to charge it. It’s not a phone problem.
Ultimately, some functions in your phone may consume more battery, leading to a shorter battery time. In order to maximize your battery performance, make sure you switch off functions you don’t use, such as Bluetooth™, and lower the screen brightness. Below are some tips to improve your phone’s battery performance…

Hey X10 users, I just wanted to know. My current firmware is R1FA016.

I saw news showing that R1FB001 is the lastest firmware but when I tried to update it, it says R1FA016 is the latest.

Anyone experience the same thing? What is your current firmware version?

Minor ‘R1FB001’ firmware update rolling out
by X10 on MAY 10, 2010
in APPLICATIONS, FIRMWARE, NEWS
A number of Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 users are reporting a new firmware update (R1FB001) that is hitting their handsets via SEUS. SE hasn’t released a changelog but users are reporting a slight performance improvement in Mediascape/Timescape. This does not look like the update that will include the Creatouch app. There’s also no notable improvements in battery life.

So far it seems only to have been released in Sweden, but I imagine SE will slowly roll this out to other countries too. Has anyone downloaded it yet?

ATTN x10 users:

Does anyone came across this problem?

During calls, occasionally the opposite side will hear a loud " psskkk"..." pssskkk" sound?

thanks.

how u make it scrollable?
cuz mine need to slide it left or right..

At ur main screen, click menu button - adw. Settings - drawer settings. Untick the horizontal. Drawer. Done.
I realize the horizontal drawer lags sometimes.

Well, AFAIK South East Asia area has R2BA020 as the latest, but in other regions ie. Europe they get R2BA026 which apparently get the faster Timescape and Mediascape response. Wonder why that kind of support is not given here cry.gif

X10 Users DO NOT Update To R2BA026 – WiFi Bug returns!
July 29th, 2010 by MikLSP
Having heard about the latest firmware update available for the SE X10 I jumped onto Sony Ericsson Update Service and started to install this “recommended” update from the masters of firmware disaster! While the update was running I turned and said “I like getting new updates, it can only make things better”…..these were famous last words indeed!
You may remember that back when we had the R1FA016 firmware I was able to pinpoint this rather glaring bug in the X10’s radio setup which caused the phone to turn off the WiFi each and every time the phone dropped to no signal AND again when it reattached to the network. This was a particularly troublesome bug for me living in a poor signal area so I was especially pleased to see SE fix it with the recent R2BA020 firmware. Imagine my disgust, though funnily enough not surprise, then when I begin trying out my freshly installed R2BA026 update and witness the return of of this disastrous radio implementation.

My WiFi is once again useless as it turns itself off and on again constantly as my X10 struggles for signal and will likely have to downgrade back to R2BA020. In stark contrast to SE, I can only recommend that you avoid this update unless you wish to lose functionality.

Well done SE another triumph of wireless engineering, please sack whichever cretinous buffoon(s) that worked on this! Either that or stop tasking your firmware updates to the work experience kids you amateurs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On the "LOCKED" Screen

Press LEFT (HOME BUTTON), RIGHT (BACK BUTTON), RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, LEFT, RIGHT

SELECT "Service info"

SELECT "Model info"

Currently I knew only the X10i with

Country: Greece (R2BA026)
Country: Singapore (R2BA020)

You can debrand your SONY X10i so you can get the update but it is a bit risky.

Hey man, I think you mean the menu button ( left) , home ( middle) , back ( right) . Thx

Don't use other handsfree apart from SE to listen to music. It will conflict with the handfree's microphone. Use regular earphone. I have a Shure I2C (iPhone handsfree) and I have the same problem as you. No problem with my old SE HPM-70 + cord extender (take out the fastport portion).
Don't keep on reinstalling, let it settle. It will be like that for the first hour as the phone adjusts to the new software.

___

Very happy with the firmware's battery life boost. Today I tested under 'real-world' circumstances (ie how I always use my phone), usually by now it'll be about 50%, but today 77%  rclxms.gif

So far only things I have issues with are social phonebook and the new LED notification (shorter blink after receiving SMS, no shutoff after finish charging - shorten LED lifespan). In-call volume is as crappy as ever but that has always been an issue.

Despite all the eye candy (the transitions and animations are really beautiful, my friends were gasping when I showed them) the phone is still very fast.

Kudos SE! Now please fix the problems I mentioned earlier and IN-CALL VOLUME PLEASE. I got a call in a noisy area today and I could barely hear anything.

thanks for replying

this morning, i found a interesting fact.. my (LED light) for handcent msg do blink in magenta as i set it for my beloved one setting. weird, when installed, it wont event work perfectly.. now the ringtone and the LED has word accordingly to my setting.. that great.. wohoo~

is this means this new firmware need times to get use to 3rd party apps??
*
i tried to do that too.
i like the handcent led colors but want to use the default sms, doesnt work.
bcos dont want 2 notifications, so turn off the handcent one and thus the led color no more...

but still..

happy family... icon_rolleyes.gif
