nope, it is ATX, GA-EX58-UD5. Because the casing too big so the mobo looks smaller

err, I have to use 2 different cable for HDD and DVD-rom because one cable can't reach both.

most of the cable not long enuf.
including the usb, audio, 8pin and other.
the 24pin is too hard to be bend (using gigabyte psu)

if wan to route to behind need modding/cutting to the case which i dun wan tongue.gif
extension cable will only make it even more messy.

there is revision 2 of cable management but it also look exactly the same doh.gif
but with a hyper 212 plus.

reducing fan speed can reduce noise....

u can also go to the automotive garage section and look for superlon or insuflex.

theres 6mm versions and 10mm versions.

another option would be to go to car accesory shops and look for those noise reducing foam.

im pretty sure the insuflex will be cheaper and better than the Lian Li one...

its about the same as the akasa paxmate i have and pretty much useless... can google for review of the akasa paxmate and see....

all it did was tone down high pitched fan noise... other noises remained the same.

I only use slot 2,4,6. First slot is actually blocked by the fan, but XMS3 is small enough to go under the fan if you really wanna use 6 rams

did some cable management last night... to my workstation biggrin.gif i got so sick and tired at looking of the mess of cables and the huge piles of dust the cables collected.

took me over 5 hours to clean the dust out of every cable and mop the floor and arrange all the cables in a very tight working space...my back hurts now...but totally worth it. my workstation is so much neater now. theres even a lot less cables on the table itself now

the aparts where the cables are "loose" and a lil messy is due to the fact that i want the cables to have a little free play so that i can move my hardwares around without worryed about the cables getting stuck or anything.

if u are not changing/swapping HDD recently..

try this

terbalink the HDD, not upsidedown, but is the connector face to the right side of your casing

sure it will hide the HDD wire

the sata power cable connector is too thick that i cant route other cable into the back of it.

gonna drill some new hole for the HDD bay and move it a tad bit close to the left side panel.

This is a Packard Bell case and it has no an HDD tray, i put the HDD in the floppy drive bay, below the DVD drive. The actual place for the HDD is case wall below the floppy drive bay. This case is small it can only fit the micro ATX board.

i doubt it is possible, cos the length of the tube seems like ngam2 only. otherwise he would've rerouted the tube like u've shown in the diagram tongue.gif

anyway, here's my failed attempt at cable management with an Elite 334... it's very hard to hide all the cables in this casing... sweat.gif any suggestions on how to improve?

Hi every pros here. I'm new to cable management.

I recently bought a new PC. Cooler Master ATCS840. And the power supply is Corsair 850watt non-modular. I'm having the hard time tucking the power supply cable inside the casing, the right side seems like not enough space for the cable to be tuck in as the cable is too thick. I was wondering how did you manage your PSU cable. Thanks.

Hope your guys can share some pic at the back for reference.

Haha, right now I'm putting like yours, everything either put beside the PSU where there is a space and inside the Harddisk section.

Bryanyeo: Erm, I only got phone camera, maybe it will not clear, but I will give it a try. But you will be "amazed" how messy is my cable. >.< rclxub.gif

Is all Gigabyte PSU come with short wires?CM's PSU can be hid with that way.
Try looking for cable extension in garage sales. It's very cheap.

there are a support there to make the PSU around 1 inch or less away from the bottom of the casing... lian li originally come with the backplate of PSU for us to mount the PSU with fan facing upwards, but the cable messy with tht way, so i turn it around. Not the best setup for a bottom intake PSU, but it still breathing, with a bit higher temperature since the intake not so good.... but i do it for the look. There are still some space for air to suck in by PSU. around 1 inch or less. Gonna cut a bottom intake for PSU in future. smile.gif

one thing bad about lianli casing is the cable management. I see my friend's RM800 lianli casing cable managing really sucks, so holes to hide the cable

so what should i do??beside 'buang' casing tu...

I have done cable management with similidon before.Nothing much you can do to the cables.Since this casing don't come be space behind motherboard you can only use cable ties to tie the PSU wires.
I really suggest you to get better casing.CM690 is much better than this casing.

PSU doesnt always dictate ur cable management...

its how YOU manage your cables....no matter wat the PSU is...

at most u can only find a PSU with long enough cables.

i've helped my friend with his cable management in a CM scout... and actually u can hide all those wires behind the mobo tray. just reroute all of the cables through that hole below that mobo, then hide some of the cables behind the mobo tray, and some in the hdd cage or the 5.25 bays (if cannot fit all behind mobo tray)... then spread the cables behind the mobo tray evenly so that the cables wont overlap each other. u can try using those cable ties or some tapes to hold the cables in position. tape the molex heads too so that they will lie flat. then firmly close the side panel while applying pressure on the top and bottom of the side panel, not the center. 2 people should make the job easier, one apply pressure at the top, one at the bottom of side panel, then just slide the side panel in. should be easier if lie the casing flat on the floor. good luck! biggrin.gif

p/s: nothing much can be done with the 4-pin mobo connector... i have the same PSU (xigmatek 500W is it?), and the 4-pin mobo connector is freakin short.. so i dunno if ur 4-pin cable can reach the mobo if u put the cable behind the mobo tray... i hope it can.. sweat.gif

haha, yeah, there will be a slight bump on the side panel... but it's not that noticeable... if the right side panel is facing the wall or table, then should be ok, people wont notice... tongue.gif

and u notice d casing behind not reaaly fit onto it? when u screw abit hard to screw. that why i choose to put in front instead behind. they should mk d behind mo tray abit bigger. only some cable alrdy cant mk it hide nicely.

@pitywoman: hi there. as promised, i've taken some pics of the cables behind the mobo tray. my fren's cm scout is not available, so i'm using my own casing as a reference. it's really messy though... noob's work... but i hope it could be of help... sweat.gif

u juz hav hav to push it harder..
before i also use scout with superb 550
a bit hard to close but if u really give it a try 4 sure it will close nicely
and try to route your cables on the cover shape (scout side panel has some kind of shape)
coz it will give u a bit space

eh, no no... the hdd rack stays that way, but the hdd's sata port and power port will be facing inside. just take out the hdd, turn it the other way around, clip it back to the blue plastic hdd holder, and just slide it in. i'm sure it can be done as i have similar chassis before. biggrin.gif

maybe ur psu is a bit longer than the standard size, thus blocking the hole beneath the mobo tray. what kind of psu are u using? hmm.gif anyway, the holes arent that big to begin with, but u should be able to squeeze the cables through... smile.gif

this is the bottom hole in my cm690, viewed from the back. the psu blocks the hole a bit, but can still manage to squeeze all the cables there. but everything ngam2 only... if ur psu is blocking half of the hole, then i guess it's going to be difficult to squeeze everything... sweat.gif

karthyhu, the PSU main cable cannot be slotted into the PSU cable hole on the chassis ar? it would be nicer and tidier.

the cables under the HDD can be tie. it should helps air flow since HDD can generate high heat.

anybody knows where i can get a 8pin cable extender? my psu cable i have to go trough the front and to the motherboard, cant go from the back since its short.

i searched 2 pc shops at malacca but they only got 6pin to 8pin. is it possible for me to use the 6pin to 8pin connector or i need a 8pin to 8pin?

that if im not mistaken is the one that comes with older DFI's Lan Party motherboards.

either way, rounded IDE cables can be bought in LYP. u can also search in the garage sales for them. i think sellers like niclasteo and moderno might have them

The HDD tray have five screw (1 on the top(inside the bottom of CD tray) and 4 at the bottom chassis) but mine only got 2 at the bottom.. It's depend smile.gif

The blue fan on the top (front panel) which I borrow from the top chassis fan that's come with the chassis itself. Then I replace the top chassis fan with cooler master 14 cm blue LED silent fan. P/S the cooler master blue LED is a bit difference color with Lancool.

Hope the infor can help you brows.gif

Just put the hdd on there will do...since the hdd is only 3.5" while the drive bay is 5.25"...
No idea how he secure the hdd from falling down..maybe let him answer himself

Forgive me if I'm wrong and this is out of topic, but i think your ram is not running dual channel right? Or is it different for intel? I thought to run dual channel, u have to put each ram sticks at the corresponding colored ram slot?

that actually depends on the motherboard's manufacturer...

some intel board will require the ram into same color... while other intel boards will require the ram to be in different colors. ull need to refer to the motherboard manual

but most of the time i see the requirement to be the same color...easier to spot i guess. but ive come across mobos that requires the ram to be slotted in different colored slots...

besides...its just color...thats it...

ya, I noe. I already bought connectors, sleeve and heatshrink from him.
I need 25meters for this wire, must be heavy for courier service, not worth of getting it.

Hello guys, im not sure whether this doubt already raised before..

My PSU cable (the one that got 4 pins connect to the mobo) is too short and i can't hide it.
This is due to my PSU is located at the bottom of the casing while the socket is at the top of the casing.
Any special connector that i can use? Need advise. Thank you.
