yup.. it does fit the space in the engine bay.. coz heard a story from my friend b4.. that time bm just about 4 month into the market.. the blm owner hometown hit by banjir.. off coz his engine oredi dead.. so he goes to proton asking for engine replacement.. proton quote him around 20k.. for new 1.3 campro engine.. and for sure he didn't agree on the numbers.. so he end up searching for a mivec.. and eventually succeeded fitting it in just for 7-8k or so..

hmm.gif If you are new in buying and selecting a car between myvi and BLM..kindly read the nice info given by our CyberKewl ( a driver and owner for both myvi and BLM)

Ok here we go. I'll start with some simple pros and cons first for each car.

Saga Cons
- High clutch for manual transmission (i'm not sure if I should consider it as a con, previously when I drove myvi, the clutch release is really short, for saga I have to release it at least 80% before I can move the car or switch gears). I'm somewhat used to it now though. The high clutch does however have one advantage - the chances of the "engine dying" is much much less.

By CyberKewl

Just want to comment about this manual transmission. It's actually a Aichi Kikai gearbox, which is used by Nissan. You will get the same feeling with Nissan Sentra manual tranny. Anyway i like this transmission, very light but very precise compared to previous Mitsu-Proton model (except Waja above).

Is it better if I buy dark coloured saga, too, like granite grey for example?

In relation to this, is the manual gear shift harder to use than say, Toyota Unser? A Toyota taht is similar to unser is my first car so I may know how its manual gear shift is going to feel relatively.

Just drove back from Ipoh way back to JB...

Here the FC.

From JB to Ipoh, 518km, RM57 (Petronas RON95) 25% old route, 75% Highway.

From Ipoh to JB, 538km, RM59 (Shell RON95) 25% old route, 75% highway.

Speed maintained at 90-100km/h in highway, only 10s 140km/h speeding tongue.gif

So the FC is around 11cents/KM, 6.1L/KM, 16.4KM/L...quite satisfy with the result actually, even better than advertised. thumbup.gif

BTW, mine is 1.3 Manual B-Line.

So far my average FC record was 13-14cents/KM in daily usage, i every day drive to work, travel ~45km/day, combine travel time ~1 hour with 25 minutes traffic jam.

Cyber, try switching off and on the aircond, see whether the sound is related to the compressor (which is actually at the bottom left of the car from front view, but anything goes now, since we're guessing)

the thing about cars like these, they have a very flexible gear ratio at lower speeds. If you cruise around in town alot, you'll have a VERY nice FC.

If you speed on highways, different story. They basically suck after 60km/h.

Applies for manual only.

We're talking about how many RM/KM you can get from the car in general, not how many RM/KM you can get at specific speeds.

At lower optimized speeds, lower speed still thrashes high speed.

My point is that they get horribly inefficient at high speeds due to the low speed optimization.

Same case with savvy, although savvy still kick ass at 120km/h

it's simple, you just have to know the lowest speed you can get whilst using the highest gear and the lowest smooth rpm. It's typically 40km/h or lower on fifth gear cruising around town for my saga manual.

Once you go over 60km/h, the rpm rises and the engine becomes less efficient. For saga's case, you nearly 4k at around 120km/h, that's inefficient.

While they may do good at lower speeds, they might not do as well at higher speeds.

Owh.. so with more RPM supposed to get more than x km/h but we only get x km/h because its not so efficient.. is it liek that bro?

mybe hes referring to sumting like the vtec system..

high speed with lower rpm = better fc

cos the engine will use less rpm to move the car..

rite or not?

but i totally agree that our car rev very high when driving 120++..

from my understanding..

its not how to achieve higher speed with lower rpm, but how to maintain high speed with lower rpm..

this is when u can comment bout the fc..

when u can maintain high speed with lower rpm, u will put less pressure on the engine to drive the car so you will save on fc.

ok, i will go directly to the point.that round thing is ur HORN. no more guessing, k?told u to put ur ear there and ask ur fren to press the horn button, but u just won;t wanna listen to me. if u wanna know which is the CAI, open the hood, u will see a leading hose from the engine to the filter heat shield and directly goes between the hood and the bumper. That is the CAI.

mooze
good guess, but sadly not.

~bUa~
good info, but to tell u that. our campro is wire driven, so even if u try to drive fast with low rev, the ECu will still ask for more fuel into ur engine to upkeep the speed.

considering it as a nice setup but not so suitable for Malaysians as our roads aren't so nice to drive. wan a low FC, then a carb will be most efficient. like the old new nissan sunny.

have i mention this story yet to you guys..
i was driving down the highway, then stop by rest area, parked next to another saga blm. guess what happen next?
when i remote lock my car, the other car responded too! (mine closed, the other one opened)
at first, i thought it was just a coincidence, whereby the owner of that car remote open/lock same time as me, so i just proceed to the 'refreshment' activity without further ado.
when i came back to my, remote open my car, the other responded again!

Hey sure or not! Remote control can lock/unlock the other same saga! Wah... dangerous..

Btw, I haven't gotten my car after 2 and half months waiting!

I traded in my old car end of July. Application sent by car dealer beginning of Aug to Proton. 2 and half months dee, everything prepared except no blue/silver proton saga available! Loan agreement already with car dealer, 5k voucher already released (released after 9 weeks of submission!)

I was called today by the salesgirl that only brinjal saga , oops sorry it is purple saga came to them. Don;t know when only will have silver....arghhh!! 2 and half months!!! My road tax expired soon in 10 days!

Anyone heard of that proton volume production has problem??? Salesgirl said she also doesn't know what is going on with Proton. ~_~

I called to Proton COE there but after pressing the number to talk to sales rep, i heard only "doo doo doo doo" sound, the sound as if the phone connection dropped. Attempted couple of times but to no avail!

Patience really wearing thinner and thinner~~

I dont like brinjal ~ It's just like some people dont't like pink. As simple as that.

Now, it's just like i ordered carbonara spaghetti, but was served will char kuey teow instead. I ordered something, but they give me something i do not ask for.

Will you ever do the same to your customer?

I ordered it with the car dealer at the Cheras Phoenix Plaza there. I asked if any other car besides brinjal color, but they do not have any clue at all when other colours will be available. The proton supply chain very terrible la~ mad.gif

Of course you pay in cash, but what he mean was you pay TOTAL price on the spot, are you ready? if yes you can try ask dealer.

If you have to apply loan from bank (even you pay a lot of downpayment), you still have to wait.

Bro, just go to ask the proton edar dealer, because you ask here adi consumed you 2 days... laugh.gif

Hmm, let's talk about some technical stuff here.

I noticed when the aircon kick in, the car will 'choke' abit especially in 1-3rd gear if you hold the pedal. Even at 90km/h @ 5th gear also can feel slightly. I also noticed the car front lamp will dim at the moment the aircon kick in when the car is in idle speed. From that phenomena, i suspect the electric system of the car is not stable when the aircon is on (Maybe insufficient alternator power or cheap battery).

Do you guys think change to the better battery can solve the problem? Not really urgent matter or serious problem, but just feel uncomfortable when i stuck in traffic jam and have to use 1-3rd gear often. Hmm, this is what i suspect, just kindly share your knowledge if you wish and ignore my question if you lazy to share. smile.gif

Honestly, the grey of Saga is abit 'dark' and show some 'purple' in different light condition, i think the 'granite' in front of the 'grey' told the difference adi. tongue.gif

Yea, Saga's 'grey' don't look like 'grey' you would expect. Nonetheless, it remains my current choice as I don't really fancy other colours from the stock and my girlfriend don't really fancy the normal white.

Both color are different, and both have the same characteristic, which is 'dark' and shows different colours in different lightning condition.

My car only 5 weeks and is granite grey....

Pix or it didn't happen! biggrin.gif

But seriously, mind taking a picture of it to show me? I'd like to confirm the ones I see on the street which I think is the grey colour ones are really it and not my mistake.

I'm doing alot of research for when I do my purchase earlier next year (we all know time flies) biggrin.gif

i will be saga blm owner!!!...mine is granite grey...and yes, proton grey is not like myvi color...a lil bit darker like chocolate...heheh...i've to wait another 3 weeks due to no stock of granite grey....now they keep promoting blueberry tea~~...

my dad did ask me to buy viva but i don't want 2-coz the price is high for 1.0cc, limited space and many safety feat has been dismantled (this one has been reported by perodua staff)...

you've made the right chose awang..viva is indeed overpriced even though yes, the quality is quite good compared to saga but you get a smaller sized car with no real boot.

Hmm, this is what i suspect, just kindly share your knowledge if you wish and ignore my question if you lazy to share. smile.gif
*
yea i noticed that, too. actually it's really annoying because the car jerk for a while. but i thought it's because of the a/c takes too much power from the engine. hopefully somebody will find a workaround.

I expect the ECU would work together with the aircon, when the compressor kicking, the ECU just control and inject a bit more fuel so the jerk can be minimized. My father's old school 2.0L Toyota Corona just did that automatically. But seems like not in our Saga. blush.gif

As you can see, the blinjal colour is quite 'grey' in the 1st pic, but if you see it near, you will notice it's purple.

Same like granite grey, it will show different colour in different distance and lightning condition, and it will show abit purplish, but not as purplish as the blinjal Saga la..

BTW, i don have camera, can't show you... doh.gif tongue.gif

Tip of the day for you guys, Those who want keep valuable stuff in the trunk should put on the safety lock on, so thief can't open the trunk by pulling the lever in the car. The trunk can only be open by the key.

Just open your trunk and look at the lock mechanism. If not mistaken, got a slide in 'lock' or 'free'(something like that) position....

Argh i have dillema now. Whether to get Gen 2 CPS or Saga BLM for my FIRST. Gen 2 CPS has nice looking exterior and interior. But Saga is not bad, and worth the money, love the exterior for a RM40+k car. I heard the handling is better than MyVi. And comfort of the seat is better than VIOS. That's what i need anyway, i want a comfort drive especially when balik kampung . For RM40k can get the highest spec already while the Gen2 CPS highest spec need to add around RM30k.

But, i think again, it's my first car, i think i will consider Saga BLM 1.3 M-Line. Monthly only need to pay RM450. What you guys think?

if not later u will complaint brake tak makan, underpowered la...interior looks cheap...

on gen2 cps drive by wire delay has been tuned very good compare to saga blm.

OK this is going to be a very stupid question. What is SA? And what should i do and when can i receive the voucher? And when can i use the voucher? Can i use it for downpayment? How many RM is the voucher normally?

You're right, other than ABS, EBD, CPS and dual airbag, other things is not really important to me. But yeah, you get what you pay, that's why i will consider this Saga BLM for my FIRST car. Upgrade later when i can afford monthly. Not if i comfortable enough with the Saga.

I'm currently considering changing cars, and among my options are the m-line saga and the saga SE. Price difference is around 3-4k, and is it worth topping up getting the SE? Any SE owners encountering problems?

And is it true there's no more mountain blue for b/m-line saga? I like that colour. The blueberry colour doesnt look that good on saga, suits persona better..

the open close on the boot there is to lock the boot prevent the boot lever in the car from being used if u put it on "closed" like prevent kids from playing with it or prevent thief from opening your boot if they smash your windscreen. you can use the key to open the boot if in closed position.

Hello everybody,
I just got an accident on sunday evening. No more extra car to use. Stupid fella u-turn without signal. sad.gif

Can't wait so i have to take brinjal purple sad.gif M line, 1.3.
The salesgirl all the way from cheras phoenix plaza to uptown to deliver the document for me to sign and then later back to her office again to follow up. So nice of her.

Initially she said has silver car from another car dealer willing to swap with the purple they have, but later the plan called off so i have to stick with brinjal sad.gif I am so sad sad.gif
Also, not yet WTF so i can only take WTE , arghhh wtf !

Mine is exchange program. 2 and half months waiting. 9 weeks for 5k voucher released from proton, a few more weeks to wiat for the dream color but to no avail. Now only brinjal purple. Not sure when will have silver and i could not wait no more without car cannot work in malaysia coz the public trnasport sucks. Will need 3 times transit and 3 hrs to come coz the bus late 1 hour yesterday. ~_~

Wish u guys all the best.

Cheers!

Dude, if you are not stressing your engine too much then no need too worry about it la...

About your plastic vibration sounds, i have those noise come from my both front doors, i unmounted the plastic cover by myself, insert a lot of sponge at the loose place, but the effect is not satisfied, i managed to fix 50% of it only...and the culprit is not the plastic cover itself, but the windows tray and locking mechanism inside the door panel. I fixed it many times adi for car which only 5 weeks old, and now i have to gave up adi, becos i noticed i no longer able to fix it by myself, maybe have to seek for help from the non-proton SC in future.

BTW, the sound is not always exist, sometime at low speed, sometime at high speed, and sometime no at all...

One way to test whether the windows cause it, just turn down the windows abit when you hear the noise, mine the noise will disappear if i turn down my windows a little bit (turn down not means until got gap)

The vibrating sound comes from the window metal bracket noticed in many blm. Buy bitumen strips and stick on it will eliminate the sound.

Bitumen strips? Is it the 'black nasty gum' that stick the plastic sheet inside the door panel?

Mine is manual, so far best FC is ~16km/L @ RM0.11/KM @ 90-100km/J at highway...Worst FC ~12km/L @ RM0.15/KM @ 1st week i bought my car, becos a lot of stop go and test drive... tongue.gif

Anyway, if you always have to travel in jam road, confident on ur own skill and want good FC, just take manual, other wise auto is easier to drive and economic at highway also.

No its not the same as those gum used at the door trim. Budget sound proofer like me will use bitumen, rich ppl will use dynamat, but you look at it , its the same thing. Bitumen is those ppl use to fix roof, hardware shop got sell one roll one roll one.

OK, bro, i quite familiar with the windows structure adi, but i don't know which part i should stick the strip, can you elaborate more? windows bracket is which part? the horizontal metal bar that directly attached with the mirror or the 'cross metal bar' that connects between the mirror and motor?

And how the bitumen can eliminate the vibration noise? is it add some mass and dampen the vibration? or just stick the loose part to become firm? sorry for so many questions...

Hi Just took a delivery of a Saga SE white AT on behalf of my wife last night. After exact 2 months of waiting.

Impressed with the ride comfort and the latest pre-delivery checklist methods by Proton and sales...you'll get to hear from them within 2 weeks for feedbacks..

hate the whining AT sound - no lights at the AT gearknob base indicators?

otherwise the most complete package for the price range - much more solid that another national car offerings.

We didn't even have time to test drive before booking.

The vertical metal bracket that is holding the window. You will see the rubber strip sandwich inbetween the metal bracket. Just jentik it and see it will vibrate or not, if got just apply the strips. Trial and error for me, last time i keep knocking the door while holding the parts, then i hold the bracket and knock the door, no more vibration sound thats how i localised the sound, very time consuming.

Ya bro, actually the problem you said i fixed adi...the noise is some kind of non-stop zzzzzz, i found that the metal bracket is loose at my left front door, and i did the same time consuming process as you...I inserted sponge behind the bracket to hold it firmly, so i fixed the so called '50%' of the noise, now i confirm the noise is come from some unknown place which i can't fix it now by myself.

No its not the same as those gum used at the door trim. Budget sound proofer like me will use bitumen, rich ppl will use dynamat, but you look at it , its the same thing. Bitumen is those ppl use to fix roof, hardware shop got sell one roll one roll one.

street racer doesnt require any soundproof lolx... due to extra weight lolx... example track car got sound proof inside ? lolx... tongue.gif

haha, IAFM spoil for new car? laugh.gif

I think not that problem la, maybe the 'lorry' sound you said is some 'air sucking' sound during high speed (>90km/h), like some 'vvvvvvvv' sound, this is due to the IAFM start to suckin the air...

Wuakaka speaks already.so u know how now?its a low budget soundproofing method, dun compare with those rm2k dampening materials. It far better than no soundproof.

CPS is better than IAFM but CPS only available for waja and gen 2 currently..saga no CPS and i doubt will have CPS. Saga auto so far as I've heard drink a lot of petrol compared to manual...in terms of worth getting is up to your wife whether she prefer auto or manual..both got pro and con..of course pickup of manual is better but auto is very easy to drive, no need worry about gear shifting

dont think so la..
the lines are distinguished juz by the accessories like the rims, seat adjuster,etc2..
the engine and fuel tank is the same in all lines, so i think not the factors

mrr2 road is quite ok on the stretch reaching tasik selatan.
the reason could be the lousy tyre in B-line(test car). i just tested a friend's M-line on the way back from workshop.
no such problem. lucky i bought the M-line!

there are many options in improving the brake...like better tyre, braided brake hose, better brake pad...

but for me, lowered/sport spring improved the braking alot ...i guess poor braking on blm has something to do with the suspension also...other than lacking of abs, or bad stock tyre?

yeah, i feel the brakes are bad.. and the tyres too.. its kinda scary to drive during a heavy rain because you don't feel the grip when you over a puddle of water or if you're cornering too fast.. and the brakes makes a very loud noise when you just start your engine. have to unwind the window then you will notice the screeching brake sound..

but for me, lowered/sport spring improved the braking  alot ...i guess poor braking on blm has something to do with the suspension also...other than lacking of abs, or bad stock tyre?
*
i don't think the braking system of BLM is caused by suspension...if you do notice, you can easily press the brake pedal to the bottom end, this tells that they are something 'expanding' when you brake, and i guess is the brake hose and pump not solid enough.

LOL, guys, you're scaring me now. I was reading through from the first thread until now. I've learnt about IAFM problem and such. Now when it comes to brake problem, it is the thing i worried the most. What brand is the stock tyres for the Saga BLM?
*
About the brake system, i think you should ask why to those who said 'suck'. For me, is OK, because i drove a car with worst brake for many years (Datsun 120Y, you think about that), so i don't have the habit for late braking.

The stock tyre is GoodYear or Silverstone, and performance is quite poor in heavy rain. Back to last week when i went back to home town, heavy rain that time and a lot of standing water on the road, my front just slightly skid away even i 'lock' my steering wheel wif my hand...and the speed is only 70km/h...

mrr2 road is quite ok on the stretch reaching tasik selatan.
the reason could be the lousy tyre in B-line(test car). i just tested a friend's M-line on the way back from workshop.
no such problem. lucky i bought the M-line!
*
As you said, that one is 'TEST CAR', a lot of customes test it out, of cos got some problems la...

My B-line wif stock tyre also won't vibrate even at 140km/h la...it's not the tyre problem...

bank interest is depend on how many years u'll pay for the total loan
currently 4-5 years=3.5%
6-7 years=3.65%
8-9 years=3.75%

If you are under 21 years old, you are most probably need a guarantor preferebly your parents or siblings. But if you have a very strong income more than 5 times the monthly payment as a fix employee of a stable company, there should be no problem in applying a car loan if you are under 21 years old.

FYI,
1)To apply for car loan, you must have a salary of at least 3 times the monthly payment of the car. If not, you still need a guarantor.
2)The deposit payment of any car purchase is usually 10% of the total car price. The bank only provide 90%(some car model provides up 99% loan if i'm nt wrong) loan unless you are a government staff and university graduated person.
3)Blacklisted person usually cannot apply for any car loan from any bank. However, some of the blacklisted government staff can apply the car loan.

Hope u will get a more clearer pict on this~ flex.gif rclxm9.gif

aite let say for example.. i wanna get a new sage blm MT (m) line...

and i would take the shortest period loan. 4-5 years.. so would be 3.5% interest right? all bank offer same rate right?

and my salary is more than 2.7k permonth before deductions.

so can i still apply for the shortest loan term?

Yup right, all the banks offer the same rate~if ur salary is 2.7k(before deduction) with ur monthly payslip then it should be no problem for the bank loan approve smile.gif
and i think 4 years is the shortest loan term if u're applying the bank loan, correct me if i'm wrong thanks~

Today i just did some inspection on the engine jerking during aircon kickin and now i have the clearer picture about that.

I just rev my engine to 2k RPM (free gear) and look for the RPM drop when aircon is kickin, the RPM drop is high, nearly 500...the drop even worst at high RPM, i did rev to 3K and it drop to 2.2K...but the strange thing is they is no rpm drop in idle (900 rpm), really strange... hmm.gif

it not so obvious if drive at 90km/h (3K rpm for 5th gear) because the car adi gained momentum, but will suffer during 1 and 2nd gear drive especially in traffic jam. When the compressor just start, the car will jerk, and suddenly accelerate when the aircon is cutoff, makes passenger inside the car not comfortable... sad.gif What make it worst is when you want to cross the junction and ready to accelerate, but suddenly the aircon just kickin, feel frustration... blush.gif

I don't know whether or not this can fixed/improved by aftermarket part or tune ECU, but i will try to ask SC about that for next service.

its named after its function, so if there's nothing served for the heat reduction, u will not have what it doesn't have.

Coolmax is a brand. PU is a type of material. Coolmax aint cheap, but good heat releasing cushion brand, PU is like those leather-alike seat cover like those in the restaurant.rm600 i think for PU seat covers.

Does an expensive tint significantly reduce the heat that enters my car during the day? Which tint is the best in terms of heat reduction?

My car comes with Safetint which doesn't exactly protect my leather interior from the hot sun.

Now the sound is back again. Zzzz...=_="". Everytime cold start brake sure got that screeching sound. Is it my brake pump got problem? The SC people constantly check nothing wrong with brake pump. I suspect they don't want to change for me because got many procedure to follow.

The strange thing is my mom's Myvi even no matter how cold is the weather in early mornings, she slammed the brake hard got no sound even though her car is 3 years ++ with changing brake pads once in 1 1/2 years. Saga press abit got sound ad. She heard the brake screeching sound and freak out as she was worry my safety. The brake sound is so intense that she scare the car's braking system might go failure. =_=""

I don't think is our front disc brake pads the one creating the sound. The sound is coming from the back. I assume is the drum brakes design got some flaws. Dunno la. Just hope nothing is wrong la. Sien ad everytime send to SC come back still the same. Zzzz....

it's the brake pad problem
it have screeching sound but it bite!
so next time change to better brake pad thn silence
and the back is good to change to disc brake since it's "makan 1 side"
the SA told me that....disc no problem...it's drum only will be like this

Tint will only help if you park ur car under hot sun for 1 hour, more than that i don think it will help...

For me i just open the windows and turn the air con fan to max for 2-3 minutes before i close it up again...

yes that's because it is a sedan and proton charges quite high for the maintenance. not to mention you are comparing a supermini / compact car to a sedan car...

i had my 20k service. 3XX only. im driving auto btw. actually other parts are the same thing like engine oil etc. but the most expensive is gearbox oil. 4L for about rm 135.

consider like this..normal servicing is 100-200..plus a gearbox oil...so the total figure will be up to 3XX

Guys, What are things that should i expect from the SA except the car?

Free gifts as he promised me was, tint (probably cheap2 one) TnG, full thank petrol, steering lock..

Is it too much if i'm asking to upgrade the tint to better one and at the same time ask for umbrella, voucher?

And normally, how's the discount be counted?

expect discounts. the tint voucher is practically useless. TNG oso with smartTAG, fulltank is a must, steering lock is the low quality one. frustrating to use for me. ive asked my SA to gimme discounts instead of the voucher and lock, but he didnt. discount can be given up to 1k depending on the SA.

but, the main expectation is good service and perfect delivery of car. u wont wanna bargain too much for discount and get a car with defects from them huh?

huh? when i got my car, i got no full tank but 1 bar of petrol.
Vouchers for 1k,10k,10k service, rebate for tinting, free engine oil filter. That's it!

No umbrella. Also, i had to drive my old car to the shop to get a new car. Not to mentioned 2 and half months of waiting ~_~

The vouchers (3 times) must be used in an appointed workshop. Is there a must to use it since i can acutally go to any proton authorized workshop? what are the differences if i go there?? i wonder...scared of being conned tongue.gif

i service at eon, summore labour charge oni rm60...not bad eh...summore they fix my iafm on the spot on the same day...which is good...

they asked me what problems that i have, then i told em, they write it down then directly order spareparts for me..

gearbox oil change during 20k service...

emm...i recomend u get mitsubishi sp3 gb oil which is actually the same thing proton gb oil...i saw can get cheaper than oil from sc....

actually har, just get engine oil from tesco or carrefour then bring it when service...can cut cost also...lets say semi syn in tesco is 79..while semi syn from sc is 99...u jimat rm20...

gearbox oil change during 20k service...

emm...i recomend u get mitsubishi sp3 gb oil which is actually the same thing proton gb oil...i saw can get cheaper than oil from sc....

actually har, just get engine oil from tesco or carrefour then bring it when service...can cut cost also...lets say semi syn in tesco is 79..while semi syn from sc is 99...u jimat rm20...

Good service! But Shah alam is kinda far for me. IF there is similar branch near USJ or Balakong, that would be nice!
Can bring own engine oil, whatsoever oil during service? So nice! so i no need to be conned to pay more. Plus the labour is free if under warranty, kekeke. Now i know! Kudos to u!! But i'm just afraid only certain SC allows that. Some SC may not permit u to do so coz they wanna earn from us!

Get next year is recommended cos when u want to sell the car is count by the year u bought, not care u bought it which month so in other words, buyin at end year is more rugi when selling car..but if u need it urgently, u can go ahead. End of the year usually got more discounts and freebies though.

major service is every 20k
some want to cheat and do it 10k so beware and change SC
and it's around 3XX to 5XX
if they charge above 5XX...better beware and change sc also...cuz cut throat price

i had my 20k service. 3XX only. im driving auto btw. actually other parts are the same thing like engine oil etc. but the most expensive is gearbox oil. 4L for about rm 135.

consider like this..normal servicing is 100-200..plus a gearbox oil...so the total figure will be up to 3XX
*
yup....he is right
mine here..all sc are around that price also
my 20k service is 400+ becuz of the expensive labour charges only
if low labour...it's 3XX
and 4L gearbox oil is something like 2L used to flush....and 2L used to refill
this is normal procedure but dn't know proton sc got do like this or not

Loan no need downpayment la..only buying car gonna pay down payment 10 percent of the selling price. Of course u can pay more if u want, so you can borrow lesser from the bank and can repay bank faster.
I just got my new car 3 days ago. Happy driving it !!! It's Blueberry Tea colour.

seen it on previous thread....senior member also said like that
fake toyota mean toyota models that aren't got in foreign countries
it's design to match our market....which mean bad quality, cheap
fake toyotas are avanza and new vios...
it is rumored design by the accounting department.....i've been in this car...really bad quality
very noisy....i've been in harrier too....totally different thing
real toyotas are camry, rav4, wish..those
so it's called fake toyotas...it's a bad quality car with toyota badges so that they call sell it at higher price

2day jus went SC 2 check up my car..
my car jus 340++ KM oni..
they found some problem happened on my car..
IAFM spoiled( reception girl tell me jus change valve.. she confirm jus change a valve?)
the aircond water paip.. 2 prevent rush coz it is 2 short(but can diy)...
n they did a free alinement 4 me..

they help me 2 solve all thing coz my sale agent very close v branch manager.. so my SA jus ask them next time(when my 1st service 1000k) help me fix:
1. change o adjust the valve( he said save fuel bt performance drop abit)
2. change a new IAFM for me
3. tuning my car, lower the RPM 2 0.7-0.8(currently almost hit 1k)
4. giv me a free oil filter
5. do a full check on my engine ( coz now 1 full tank RM54 can go around 220++ oni. he said it is abnormal.. RM20 can at least get 200km for city drive)

do all job stated above jus cost me around RM70++ oni.. smile.gif
is it fair enuf?

Honestly, they charge RM70 for what? because the engine part is under warranty, should be free...correct me if i'm wrong...

Then kindly update your FC here next time for this 'adjustment'...as you said before, IAFM spoil for new car is 'si beh heng' lo... tongue.gif

I ride on my friend's new Vios before (sit in front), personally feel better than BLM in terms of sound insulation and suspension (when over those rough surface and yellow line, BLM just noisy like hell, 'hohoho' sound all the way on the rough road)...about the space (leg room and headroom) is more or less equal to BLM...

Hmm, personally feel the term of 'fake Toyota' is quite over...maybe call it 'low end toyota' is more suitable.. hmm.gif

Anyway, I think this not the 1st model they got quality issue, the Corolla SEG like the pic above, the material used is very cheap, especially the head lamp, turn yellowish quite fast...i heard that this model is assembled at Thailand one... hmm.gif

Ahaha...not bashing maa...comparison. personally, blm legroom for rear passenger better than vios (old / new..both). my fren asking me, how much my blm installment per month. he's thinking downgrading his old vios 2005 to blm. i say..."WTF, just maintain ur ride lar". even if the installment reduce, ur already loss money at the vios depreciation & market value.
if i actually racun somemore, for sure got new blm owner biggrin.gif.

hi, white saga 1.3 reporting in.

btw. a question. will it void my warranty if i install aftermarket speakers to the car.?

due to the fact that i have to widen the hole for the rear speakers to fit my new 6x9.

I don think mod that area will void whole car warranty. Let say if ur IAFM spoil, they can't say ur warranty void since you mod ur speaker...how this mod affect the engine? but for rear windscreen tint if got bubble/scratch, then only they have reason say u spoil that when you mod that area...This is wat i thought la, don't know rite or not...

RM70 for 1st service charge(1000km)..
sorry 4 i din stated it clearly..

I thought first 3 times service are free? If u have read the booklet, there is a page named Free Service which includes first three (1k, 5k, 10k km) It says I will only be charged for lubricant and material used.

Btw guys, to know which one is major or minor service, refer to pages at the back of the Service Booklet. There are pages for inspection schedule of what they will change ,replace, or inspect for 1km, 10km,20km service.

Hey guys, do you have a book called Warranty Booklet for rustproofing?

1. Press the 'TA' button once until the 'TA' at the LCD goes off.
2. Then press the left/right arrow to tune into desire station. Press once each time, the tuner will search automatically.
3. Press the number button (either one from 1-6) for more than 3 seconds to store the tuned station into your desire memory number.
4. DONE.

The 1st step is important, without 'TA' off, the tuner will just search like nothing by showing 'DX' or 'LO'...I myself also very confuse in 1st use...
