Maybank AMEX would have " Maybankard " and AMEX's logo (The blue cube) embossed on the card. If purely AMEX then look exactly like what bro MilesMore posted for all charge and credit card. =D

Strange, I am using the Amex cc that bro MilesMore posted to pump petrol and the receipt shows MaybanKard Amex....

and why they have two types of gold cc? Any differences?

MAS tele-payment facility now accepts AMEX

SUBANG: Malaysia Airlines has extended its tele-payment facility to accept American Express (AMEX) credit cards for customers who transact in ringgit through the reservations toll free number 1-300-88-3000.

In a statement today, Malaysia Airlines said the facility was is made possible by American Express Malaysia through the installation of five Electronic Data Capture (EDC) terminals at the Kuala Lumpur Call Centre and 2 EDC terminals at the Kuching Call Centre.

"Our Call Centres can accept payment over the telephone using MasterCard, VISA, Diners International and now, American Express.

"This enhancement is offered to serve customers better by providing an added option and convenience when they purchase their ticket over the phone," Malaysia Airlines senior general manager network and revenue management Dr Amin Khan said.

Just came back from traveling and find AMEX just as unwelcome as before by many merchant. The last straw may be Old Town White Coffee at LCCT rejecting it. After this year, I am gonna cancel it.

They rejected my AMEX but accepted my Mastercard. With AMEX, you just have to be prepared for rejection and after a while, you start asking yourself, what for keeping this card? Barely 2 months of having this card, I am having enough.

You guys need to look for the AMEX sign before handing your AMEX to the teller. Most smaller stores do not accept AMEX, just like in the USA where AMEX originates.
