QUOTE(jack2 @ Oct 29 2009, 07:02 AM) Maybank AMEX would have " Maybankard " and AMEX's logo (The blue cube) embossed on the card. If purely AMEX then look exactly like what bro MilesMore posted for all charge and credit card. This post has been edited by sykz: Nov 5 2009, 09:16 PM |

QUOTE(sykz @ Oct 29 2009, 09:59 AM) Sorry. This one I really don't know cause I'm under different portfolio. I guess you need to call up our customer service team. =D Strange, I am using the Amex cc that bro MilesMore posted to pump petrol and the receipt shows MaybanKard Amex....Maybank AMEX would have " Maybankard " and AMEX's logo (The blue cube) embossed on the card. If purely AMEX then look exactly like what bro MilesMore posted for all charge and credit card. =D and why they have two types of gold cc? Any differences? |

QUOTE(jack2 @ Oct 29 2009, 10:09 AM) Strange, I am using the Amex cc that bro MilesMore posted to pump petrol and the receipt shows MaybanKard Amex.... They have three types of AMEX Gold credit card actually. and why they have two types of gold cc? Any differences? - Maybankard AMEX Gold credit card - Maybank Ikhwan AMEX Gold credit card by Maybank Islamic - American Express Gold credit card. The main difference would be the privileges. A true American Express Gold credit card entitles you for 5xMR points at participating stores. You just need to check your points in your M2U. Don't have to worry what it is written in the receipt. Just a few days ago when i paid for something at a supermarket using my HSBC VISA, the receipt shows me paying by Maybankard VISA instead This post has been edited by MilesAndMore: Oct 29 2009, 10:19 AM |

Just came back from traveling and find AMEX just as unwelcome as before by many merchant. The last straw may be Old Town White Coffee at LCCT rejecting it. After this year, I am gonna cancel it.

I just make a call to AMEX CS & request to transfer all my MR points from charge card account to credit card account. After that I cancel the charge card. Very good, no need to send any letter. Through phone also can cancel the card immediately. Point transfer also immediate but take 7 working days to clear.

QUOTE(Alec.Yong @ Oct 29 2009, 04:51 PM) You mean Old Town White Coffee at LCCT starting accept credit card as payment? They rejected my AMEX but accepted my Mastercard. With AMEX, you just have to be prepared for rejection and after a while, you start asking yourself, what for keeping this card? Barely 2 months of having this card, I am having enough. What about other outlets? |

You guys need to look for the AMEX sign before handing your AMEX to the teller. Most smaller stores do not accept AMEX, just like in the USA where AMEX originates. |

I would not call Petronas, Insurance company and a major shop in a major tourist frequented area like LCCT small. |
