So sorry to hear about that. RIP Jack...at least we know he's in a place where he can run free without pain.

Thx a lot for your advise..

My beloved Jack jack passed away yesterday. I'm still trying hard to cope with the situation.

I guess I will not have another dog for now as I can't get over the fact. I hate going home now cause I miss him so much.

To everyone..pls take good care of your dog and don't ever let it wonder around outside your house without u around..this was a mistake i made..and a fatal one.

Maybe Jack is living happily in other place now... Rest in peace, Jack.

The name on the top left is the 'official' name given to Phoebe by the breeder. You can choose to either keep it as it is, or transfer the ownership to yourself. There's a fee you have to pay for the transfer though (RM150 for non-members, and RM20 for members. I suggest that you join as a member - pay RM80 for one year subscription - to save money smile.gif) Usually the cert comes with a green form signed by the breeder itself. You need that form to transfer ownership.

Some people think it might be unnecessary to do so, but I did it for Scottie just in case if he ever got lost and someone found him, but cannot contact me. Some people who are kind enough will go call MKA to ask for details of the owner (if the dog has a microchip). If you don't do a transfer, MKA will only have the breeder's details, and he/she won't remember also who they sold the pups to....so, just my two cents' worth on it.

Well, most of the time when we give deworming medicine it doesn't mean that our dog MUST have worms. Not necessarily smile.gif it's definitely ok if there aren't any worms from the poop. Nowadays most pups don't really get worms also unless they have been playing a lot in the dirt and what not. Still it's a good precationary measure to give deworming meds every few months

Are you sure don't have? Usually when I send the pup for the vaccinations, the vet will give me a pill for the pup to take (usually the day after vaccination). That is actually the deworming medicine. If you didn't get one, just ask your vet for one. It doesn't cost much...I think it's around RM5 per pill. When Scottie was a pup, I gave him deworming pills at every vaccination visit he got. Then, it's around 4-6 months once until he's about 1 year old. smile.gif After that also, if I remember correctly, I gave him a pill once every 6 months. Now, I kind of stopped it already since he's okay and all that. I guess the important time to give is during puppyhood, but even though adult period, sometimes they might pick up worms and stuff, so we have to monitor the dog often for symptoms.

laugh.gif Perhaps she thought of the 'toilet' as her play area. I have not experienced this before with Scottie but if you want, everytime you see her bringing her toys there, give a firm 'No' and put the toy where she should play with it. When she goes there (where you put the toy), praise her madly (or give her a treat). I think if you do that enough, she will remember that the place is not for play. When she pees or poops there, and you see her doing it, praise her a lot too so that she gets the idea that the wee wee pad is the place to do her business.

Well, it's not a MUST to deworm, but most people choose to do it just for precautions. smile.gif

Hi...i am about to be a proud owner of a female salt and pepper mini schnauzer..

Q1:How to apply for dog license?I live in Shah Alam and BOTH of my neighbours are Malays..I scared they all go poison my new puppy or go complaint to MBSA.

Q2:How to train my mini schnauzer not to bite other ppl?My "Kau Gong" has a female mini schnauzer and she bit my aunt for no reason.

Q3:How to train your puppy to ring the bell when it wants to go out?Its pretty cool..

Thanks,
Preeya Chan

i found 2 fleas on my Miki...near her mouth area...should i use fontline spray to spray her body to prevent any other fleas? will the frontline spray affect the pup's skin (the frontline spray's user instruction stated that the spray can be used on a pup or kitten that aged 2 days and above...)? I wonder y my miki body will have fleas since i always keep her in my room and never let her out... =(
