We don't have an AC at home also...Scottie and Kenji sleep in their play pen, but Scottie will sleep on the floor and Kenji MUST sleep on a cushion or the doggie bed. I've actually got a separate bed for Scottie, but he wouldn't sleep on it, so it's now Kenji's. LOL! Not all dogs are good with cold (Kenji is one of them...he cannot tahan AC. Whenever there's AC, he shivers like mad. )

heya jenny, i got my oscar from eugene as well. got him late last year. oscar is 1 year old adi. ive got spare 'toilet' frm eugene if ure interested, only used it a few times coz oscar prefer to do his business on grass now.

oscar's temprement is really good. will only bark when necessary, and when we!re late to feed him. doesnt bite but still very mouthy.

Hi , Is it OK to send a 4 mth old MS for full grooming ? Dunno if the groomer was too bz and lied to me. She only did basic grooming and told to wait until 6 mths of age. She told me full grooming at 4 mths old would make the fur coarse !!!

First thing, you should take your kid to your vet to check if he is digesting his food properly. Dogs sometimes ingest their poop as there are remnants of undigested food there. Disgusting as it may seem to us, it is quite acceptable for them. If it is all clear from the vet, it may be more of a behaviour or stress rather than indigestion.
Sometimes, the dog behaves like that due to his instinct or due to stress. We should not scold or raise our voice to MS, as they are quite sensitive to it. He may think that you are scolding him when he poops, and thus he will eat it to conceal the 'evidence'. What we did was we leave the poop there (if he poops on the correct spot) while watching him closely. If he walks over and tries to eat it, we will tell him "NO" and ask him to "SIT". Repeat a few times, and he will get the point sooner or later. Occasionally "accident" happens, especially during the night, but I guess that can't be avoided. According to my vet, he will grow out of it. We can't wait for that day....

Good question, I m not too sure about that. Why don't you call up your friendly vet and ask instead of going there straight? He/she should be able to give you advise over it and also tell you when is the best time to head over. However, you do need to visit the vet eventually for Tom's vaccination, and you can ask him then as well.
