QUOTE(bob_afdlin @ Oct 24 2009, 04:51 AM) 2.8 for 3 years of experince, i think is low.. summore u are expatriate dude if work on another country QUOTE(abc2005 @ Oct 25 2009, 12:46 AM) QUOTE(knwong @ Oct 25 2009, 09:01 AM) no company will treat you as an expatriate or send you for oversea assignment until you demonstrated outstanding work performance to them. Don't worry TS, join 1st, proof to them your worth and move up from there. keep up the spirit i ask few of my IT friends working in sg, apparently most of them were in the same range..well, the offered salary range can't really attract me. i was offered the job by a head hunter, so i expect the offer should at least match what i got here (no currency conversion). |

QUOTE(jacktai @ Oct 27 2009, 12:12 PM) Sorry to tell, no office will hired under working age youngster. i dont have degree, didnt do sales @ own a business but still earn 2.7k when i was a fresh grad.. dont expect with degree you can easily get 2-3k..Get a job in restaurant/small factory. Which I did it when I still secondary. Or study hard, learn new thing. Look for long term. Once you are graduate from university, The world is waiting for you. You can easily earn 2-3k with your degree. Without degree you will be forever stuck in 1-2k salary, unless you do sales/own a business. Remember when studying is your R & D period, after that will be your production period. So what can you produce depend on how is your R & D in the pass. |

QUOTE(debbieyss @ Oct 26 2009, 11:53 PM) How? Work part time as tuition teacher can earn RM15k? I am not sure how exactly the figure work out...for the tuition teaching cousin...The students pay RM500 every month? Different industry, different working hours, different benefits, different prerequisite lah. Lets say 1 student per subject is RM35. Each student take 3 subjects on average. that's RM105 per student i class, he can accomodate 30 students-> 40x105= RM4200 3 classes= 3 xRM4200= RM 12600? rmb? he is popular... the point here is to tell u all that a tuition teacher and fish monger can be very damn rich..... QUOTE(debbieyss @ Oct 28 2009, 09:06 AM) Teaching music won't really will be rich. Only if you are famous. Then can demand higher fees & alot of student.Remember teaching music is mostly one on one. How many student you have in a day it count. If average RM100 fees per student per month for 30 minute. 1 day average teach 6hours for 5 day. 6hours/0.5hr X RM100 X 5days = RM6000. But you must have 60 student to make up the figure. Which quite few teacher have that much student. Average teacher will only have 20-40 student at most. If you teach house from house, the teaching time will be half. |

Teaching house to house will be included petrol charge according to students' house. But no doubt the time allocated for house-to-house teaching will be gone down to half. However, piano fee for classical music is standard, I'm doubt if there's any possibility to demand higher according to teachers' fame. Remember teaching music is mostly one on one. Just like normal Grade 8 teacher and Diploma holder teacher charge differently. Music teacher teaches pop music, jazz music other than classical music, and pop/jazz music fees are double more expensive than classical music! I'm use to be a Classical Guitar teacher, pop are quite easy, & no need special skill & technique. So I charge same rate as Classical. Only thing trouble is Pop song available for guitar are limited, you need to arrange it for student. Anyway teaching music not as that easy & can earn a lot, my friend full time teaching Violin in Yamaha, most student are beginning to Grade 3. Although the school assign all Violin student to him, but still only have 20+ student. Teach during Thursday to Sunday. So far the paid not >2k. |
