You are quite on track, as a start endure it! In my ex company whenever i need to travel... in a month most probably few times. I need to wake up at 3am get ready go KLIA then in the evening usually 9pm touchdown klia about 10pm only able to reach home. I believe daily travelling is much more tiring and stressful. No increment after probation period that is normal. Usually exec level would not entitle for OT.

But to share with you the experience of a friend:

Age : 24
Job Title : Java Programmer
Years spent in company : around 6 months
Company : Local
Industry : Computing and BioTech
Experience before joining : couple years as hobby
Qualification : Degree in Computer Science, IIUM
Basic on joining : RM2,650
Current Basic: RM 5000
Working hrs: 9am-6pm + Saturdays
Location: PJ
Benefits: Insurance, annual leave, medical and dental + Company Car + master study loan + house allowance.

He does not have certificates, but he's a programming genius. The company within 6 months offered to double his salary and even sponsor his studies. The lesson: your reward will always equal your value. if not from your current employer, from the 100,000s other business in Malaysia. Just focus on being the best in what you do.

HR is a dirty job, especially over here where there is very little focus on talent management.

1. i am pretty sure i am on the slower track. Anyone might want to confirm?
2. Feeling its time to move soon. Just accepted this job due to sight salary increase (but failed miserably on bonus expectation) and location. Plan to be a bit choosy for the next job in term of salary and job scope (plan to get technical jobs to get knowledge as current one mostly management). Would an expexted salary on Rm 7000 be acceptable to start with in oil and gas ?

Doesnt matter if the qualifications are irrelevant.
Some of my friends are working in a bank's call center and earning around 2600 to 3200. All of them hold a degree.
Nowadays most bank call center hire fresh grads as long as they have degree.

Come on with SPM how can you compare with others who have a degree. Consider yourself as being lucky. Coz i know even for DIP students they can hardly reach that amount of money in 2 years time.
