iPhone 3.1.2 anyone update alreadys?

Updated, nothing much except hoping for 3G network to be recovered. Thanks to Maxis it's still not.

Apple has released iPhone OS 3.1.2, its first major update to the iPhone’s and iPod touch’s software since the launch of version 3.1 and 3.1.1, respectively, on September 9. According to Apple’s release notes, the update “[r]esolves [a] sporadic issue that may cause iPhone (or iPod touch) to not wake from sleep,” as well as an “intermittent issue that may interrupt cellular network services until restart.” It also fixes a bug that could cause occasional crashes during video streaming. iPhone OS 3.1.2 is available now for both iPhone and iPod touch users through the update feature in iTunes.

I've no idea what Maxis' policies are but I know of people who's gotten replacement sets from the Apple Store due to cracks. Best is if you go back to claim the warranty ASAP but even then I don't think you'll get a replacement unit on the spot; apparently a fellow forummer here who had some issues with his i3GS had to wait almost 6 weeks before he got his faulty set replaced by Maxis.

ookay... I don't mind waiting though, at least they're changing 1 for me.

BTW, need to ask

If I update in the office, but my iPhone is synced to everything at home (apps libRARY, movies, music, etc)
Can be done? or must I update at home?

Problem Encountered : Can't surf internet from celcom 3g broadband
Steps Taken So Far : tried connecting to my lappie for 3g tethering , weirdly its work but if I'm using iphone alone,saying no internet connection

how long u face this prob? how long u use ur iphone?

i think i have totally same problem with u, i can call out or sms no problem.
I tried to call from another phone(home line and some other or same telco), sometimes successfully call, sometimes call in but iphone no ring, sometimes dialer got busy tone, sometimes dialer got no sound at all... but if after i call out or sms from iphone, dialer can successfully call in without prob for few times or very short period.

I'm living in penang island with digi prepaid. I just get this used iphone 3G from my friend 2 days ago, i'm not sure is my phone prob, or setting prob, or sim prob, or telco prob....

anyone more face the same thing or know what happen? thanks alot.

i'm using digi prepaid on my i3GS now,
will it happen any problem if i update my fw to 3.12?
i heard many LYN menbers said that they cant send out mms
i'm wondering whether need to update or not,
please help me

if i update my i3GS TO FW 3.12,then i need to download the telco carrier again or i can use that 3.0 one?do i need to change?

Suppose there will be no problem at all.
I'm using Celcom with 3.0.1 and I can send mms without any problem.
Now I am using 3.1 and still can send mms. The only problem is just for AT&T Carrier where they are still waiting AT&T to enable mms for 3.1 and 3.1.2 I suppose
