Update: iPod touch 3.1.2 is also out (iPod touch G3 shipped with 3.1.1 which is why this update is 3.1.2 for everyone), and US readers are telling us AT&T Carrier File Update 5.6 is popping up for them as well.

I've got an interesting problem.

Model: iPhone 3Gs 16gb - Maxis
Status: Firmware 3.0 - jailbroken

Problem:
If i take any photo or video, it wont show up in my 'Photos' folder. It will show in the small 'Preview' panel on the bottom left after i take a photo. But when i want to review it, the picture that appears is an old one.

The plot thickens: When i hook my iPhone to my PC, the pictures will appear in the internal storage under the folder '110Apple'. I cant access new pictures via the phone. Even picture saved from the internet cant be accessed via the phone but can be accessed via the PC.

Since when? Recently. 2 days ago.

Did i do anything unusual? Yes. I was taking photos while the iPhone was hooked to the PC.

Steps to solve: I've sync'd the phone. Im refraining from reformatting/ restoring to factory settings.

Help!

Update : last night I turned on airplane mode again for the night, an this morning even with 3G turned off, the phone went into no service again. Very weird. I'm gonna try not to turn on airplane mode and see if this problem occurs again. So far I notice the problem usually happens only after extnded periods of airplane mode. Damn annoying
