Its weird that the X's doesnt appear the way they're supposed to. Sighs. I guess i'll just reformat my iphone easier.

I'm using Singtel unlocked iPhone 3G with 3.1.2 firmware & Celcom 3G postpaid... and DROP CALLs is really irritating for me.
I assumed, this problem happen on jailbreaked iPhone when 3G is off (running of EDGE or GPRS).

Is there any solution for this problem?
I'm expecting solution other than by switching 3G on just to make phone calls, its so tedious eventhough I'm using SBSettings as shortcut.
Is there any patch to overcome this problem?

HELP... I'm tired of this but I still love to use iPhone.

mean by default? not sure about default... but u can assign image to ur contact numbers... just like any normal phones...

i din assign any pictures but tis picture came out. zzz. watafak?? i bought this phone from another ppl.

i doubt u can change it except u assign a picture to each contact...
if not then it will use ur wallpaper/background picture when u call or receive

Problem Encountered : When download apps frm Cydia it dose not appear on the Iphone even tough the download and installation has been completed. have tried frw time still the same.
Steps Taken So Far : Reboot phone NO GO, tried to down load other apps also seems to be the same.

Other Information/Remarks : tried to download Categories via Cydia (using frm the source http://cydia.ifoneguide.nl)

I just update my phone to the latest firmware, and after the update i tried to download the apps that i was using before, but it seems to be some errors after the download is completed. the apps are not listed on the phone. How can i perform the installation for the apps that i have downloaded. kindly advice.

I have used some step-by-step guide that i have googled and its seems to be the same.

I'm not really sure for 3G as mine is 3GS using Celcom Postpaid! Having the same issue, 10secs call drop.
Troubleshooting with ON/OFF 3G, EDGE and GPRS but to no avail.
Last thing I checked was the Sim Card, I took friend of mine SIM which is 256K and the problem didn't occurred! (Mine was 128K)
Went to Celcom centre and told them I want 256K simcard but apparently they ain't release the sim just like that. I told them that I troubleshoot something which can solve my problem and thank god they willing to help me out.

Straight away change to 256K simcard and terus test out. No more 10 secs call drop

Meaning this is simcard compatibility problem with my current iphone.

Sorry guys. I've asked this before with no answers so I'll try to ask again.

1. Is there an application to send SMSes to a whole 'group' in your contact list without having to select each of the contacts 1 by 1?

2. Related to no. 1, why does my iPhone seem like 'hanging' when sending to 20 or more recepients. Especially when there are messages incoming at the same time.
Then suddenly it shows (!) error sending, asks you to try again.
- Problem is, it doesn't show you which recepient(s) got the sms or not. ~_~

3. When it asks you to 'try again', does it send to the whole list again? Or just the failed ones...

When I enable my 3G, there is no service...
hv to off disable 3G mode only got line...
how come??

i have resolved my issue.. i tried using ROCK rather then using Cydia, it works fine.. and i do find that Rock is more user Friendly.. hehe

Problem Encountered : I juz bought my iphone from maxis juz 2 weeks ago and try to jaikbreak it with blackra1n as redsn0w 0.9 not release yet...but in the process my iphone juz turn black as Blackra1n appeared to has jailbroken it...the screen juz in black mode..dunno in DFU or recovery mode...I tried to unplug and plug it again but Blackra1n juz said waiting for phone...itunes detect my phone but cannot restore it....so where can I find place to repair my phone....is it better if I juz send back to maxis as my warranty will be void???please help me

I'm having the same issue like you today. I have to totally off 3G to get the signal back. If I on 3G again, I will no service again.... This is so f**k because iphone is such a good phone but with lousy reception.... I might send back for warranty if it continue to stay like this. My house area is very near to the airport and we have a huge communication tower in our housing area here...

might be the network problem as at my place i got full bar of 3g line but i still cant surf....
but what i noticed is, one of my hang out place, shah alam have the fastest 3g line, surfing there is a breeze....
still, i suspect that ur netwrok problem...

No problemo. Just tell them that you've swap with friends sim which is 256K
They told me that 256K will be distribute to user with special case. Then they explain to me as well that certain phone with high tech only will get 256K.
