Anyone experienced drop calls on Iphone3GS using Maxis postpaid? I got my Iphone from Maxis a week ago and already experienced drop calls.

Any one of you have this problem:

I bought my Iphone from US few months back. I try transfer something from Itune to my Iphone and my phone suddenly hang. It can't go into the normal way which keep on syaing that my Sim Card is not compatible. So i bring my phone to the Apple store at Sunway and ask them to unlock the phone. Now i only can call out, recived call and sms only. other features such as Wifi and etc i can't use as the features has been locked. Is there anyway to unlock this problem? i ask the sunway tech ppl and they say is due to the phone version problem. Is it true?

Current Firmware : 3.1.2
Current network: (Digi)
iTunes Version : 9
PC/MAC : PC
Jailbreaking software : Cydia? not sure. sorry.
Problem Encountered :

1. Battery drain very fast. every time have to charge coz i can see the battery decrease so fast. How long for the normal use of iphone act?

2. Cannot charge my phone when its empty.When the first time i charged my phone,its already 0%,so i tried to charge with my charger(2 pin charger) but the logo of thunder and battery(with a few red colour) appeared. i wait till next morning but the battery still not charge. I called the seller and he said maybe it is because my Digi sim card(is it logic?), then i tried with usb cable and it is ok. but then i go to change from the seller with the other charger(also 2 pin charger),still got same problem when my batt. empty.

Is it because of my jailbreak? or i have to change to 3 pin charger,it still same rite? i dun want it to be the same result.

Steps Taken So Far :

1. OFF SSH, install SBS, off Wifi, Bluetooth, 3G, and so on like in youtube video. (how to increasing battery life)

2. Tried hard reset, nothings happpen.

Other Information/Remarks : i bought this from someone, its oversea set. And the problem is there are no waranty, but the seller give 3month personal waranty to me. Its a new iphone. already jailbreak.

well if the set if from MAXIS send back to them laaa... a bit of luck they may change a new set wahahahaha

Guys... recently my phone being plagues by the annoying "No Service" problem. I need to switch to Airplane mode and switch back out to get signal back... doesn't the iphone will automatically find the signal again?? Can I send back my phone for warranty?

i could pin point several problem:

1. maxis network kindda suck this couple of days...
2. ur sim card got problem... (i experience this 1st hand.... my old sim card seems died suddenly... so ive change it to the new sim card... never have      that kind of problem now)
3. try restore and reinstall the firmware back... sometimes this happens, just not ur luck lol!
4. hardware problem.... (hopefully not)

so try and error... good luck...

5. Manual Backup Crucial Internal Files [JB and non JB]
Q: How to manually backup contacts , SMS, Calender, Notes etc?
A: You can backup your iPhone data by using iTunes [Backup] or you can manually backup following the guide.
Backup Location
a) Contacts- var/mobile/Library/AddressBook/AddressBook.sqlitedb (contain the numbers) and AddressBookImages.sqlitedb (contain the contact pics)
b) SMS - var/Mobile/Library/SMS/SMS.db
c) Calender - var/mobile/Library/Calendar/Calendar.sqlitedb
d) Notes - var/mobile/Library/Notes/Notes.db
e) Maps - var/mobile/Library/Maps (Bookmarks.plist, History.plist and Route.plist)
f) Winterboard - /Library/Themes.
*For those who have uploaded your backup data files to the folders below and encounter errors:
Please set all files permission to 777 or 755.

Huh? you i3Gs can last until 10 hours with everything on. 3G/wifi/push notification ???

did you jail break? if not, im soooo surprise as i never that kind of usage before even with everything OFF.

what have you done to your iphone? modified? :S
