Some ppls prefer the original iphone without JB coz of the worries of the wifi dropping issue, batt issue etc, a non-JB iPhone is still functioning well as it was supposed to be

Yea, initially i thought it was becoz of the bloody 3G usage during Google-Mapping, in the end noticed that the 3G blockage is no longer effective

Happy New Year to everyone! 6 hours + till 2010 arrives here in Taipei. 2010 is gonna be so awesome, new Apple tablet, and Universal Studios Singapore opening next month, my head's gonna explode from all these awesome news!

just sayin, my 3GS (maxis official) behaves better with JB. I can actually control HOW I want to use my data allocation. This way, I won't be helpless if my phone is leeching data without me knowing and Maxis will only say "it's an iPhone, get used to it."

I WON'T get used to it because on my previous i3G, with U Mobile prepaid, the cellular data NEVER moved unless I meant it to. and yes, that meant JB-ing, installing SBsettings, disabling Fetch for email and also watching what apps I install and what they do (ads, etc).

Battery life is still a day and a half - which is normal with regular use.

For the record, JB-ing isn't a criminal activity. It's like installing software on your windows to manage your processes/performance and customise your rig.

Hmm, I turned off 3G and EDGE at sbsettings, even in the network setting also off d, I even try both profile from iphonenodata and nzlockit, but under the usage, there still some data sent and received, y? Sbsettings still able to get ip for data sometime, I have to toggle on then off again to make the ip data gone, sometime, the ip back again and data transfer occur again, why? What should I do

Also, I have push application, does this is the culprit? even I put fake apn setting?

** Even I turn off my Wifi and use safari, the safari said that I not connected to internet already. But after sometime, I see there data transfer under data usage. why?

I am *suspecting* the fake APN thingy doesn't work anymore. Was in JB and was trying to get it disabled before coming into SG but it doesn't work. Anyhow, was told there's no need to worry as long as 'Roaming' is off.

You'll have some problem with customs and SIRIM.

man even i installed both fake apn profile also can use cellular data...i need to fix this fast
