what about 3.1.2? i tot this fw released. any significant update about this fw?

Most of the time, i turn off 3G and Edge from SBSetting. I don't know if this thing only happen to me, but, I notice that, 3G work when both of 3G and Edge turn on.

If I turn on 3G only, I can't get it work. After turn on both, then everything seems fine.

after updatin to 3.1.2 using blackrain, my iphone 3g havin problem with wifi. it seems cant detect wifi. how am i gonna fix this?

still didnt work. i restore to original 3.1.2 also is hard for me to detect. iphone detect for awhile, then drop the wifi. n need to enter the pass again. when i enter the pass again, suddenly it cant detect wifi. is it hardware problem? just happen to me around 5pm this eve.

is there is a software/tools to manually edit my iphone contact via PC?

cuz i hv problem with the first and last name and make my contact look messy.

If ur wifi chip broken/problem, some say the wifi column in Setting is not available? Is it true? Cuz i believe, no matter what, the wifi setting is based on firmware no matter the chip broke or what. Rite?

Setting > General > About > Wifi address. is it the wifi address is based on our previous wifi address which we connect to?

Yah, I know. But it change over time rite? If u connect to new one, and the wifi address column at Setting will change too?

Theme problem I think. Try another theme, see if ur problem occur again or not.

Did u paste in the right folder?

I dun think I have a problem when use SSH for manual backup esp addressbook and SMS.

this is funny. it happen again. wifi problem..

1st, connection drop..
2nd, cant' detect at all

restore, reset network setting.. doesn't help much. sigh

am i the only one having this type of problem?

my previous set face this kinda problem.. so, claim for warranty.. then get a new set..

n later on, this new set of mine, face the same problem again.. i try air plane mode on and off. wifi on and off, sometime, it can detect the wifi..

less then a minute, its gone..

step taken

1. full restore
2. reset network setting
3. place side by side router
4. on and off airplane mode ( able to detect wifi then later on, loss the signal )

as for the step 4, im start wondering, either it is fw problem..

as far as i remember, my previous phone become prone to wifi loss signal after update to 3.1.2.

1.maxis took 1month or more for this..my previous unit took 1 month n 22 days..
2.cannot wo.. nanti masuk air dalam tu.. then straight away void the warranty.. several case happen like dat..
3.wi fi app detect, then its gone..

from dmesg..

look like, en0 and en1..

en1 is for cellular data..

en0 is for wifi..

both statement is my assumption from iphone SDK to retrieve IP..

i belive applemrvl868x is the culprit.. my initial guess,would be, fw problem.. not an hardware issue..

and for the fw update, i dun think Apple will release a new fw.. sigh.. blank

if u expose ur self to open space location,current location still wrong?
