QUOTE(ronaldkwok @ Feb 9 2011, 06:46 AM) I believe the problem lies in your BD player. The Philips BDP-2700 does not support DTS HDMA, unlike the Philips BDP-3100. Both models support Dolby True HD, though. This is suprising since the BDP2700 is a newer model than the BDP3100 and both HD audio standards are supported by all other entry level BD players, as far as I know. Koyak. Let me buy bd25 dolbytrue hd to test.

Guys need help on setup. Astro Beyond connected to 567 to sharp 32.
1. Astro Beyond audio set to Digital 5.1 only when 567 on standby - Video goes thru but no audio.
2. Astro Beyond audio set to Digital 5.1 and analoque when 567 on standby - video and audio goes thru.
But if the astro beyond is set to #2, I cant get Dolby Digital on my 567.
Anyway round this?

I guess that your 567 does not allow Audio pass thru via HDMI when it is on standby.

QUOTE(jeehouhee @ Feb 15 2011, 09:06 AM) currenly usisng Yamaha 467 amp. If lets say i plug in Pa speaker. Will it produce nice bass even withoud active subwoofer? It can't. The active subwoofer is being fed via the sub pre-out and subwoofer usually can produce very low frequency. Now, there are choices for sub that can go as low as 20Hz or even lower at 'affordable' price. A normal PA speaker is not able to produce LFE as sub does. Moreover, its application is different. You might find it not as clean as dedicated loudspeakers meant for HT.

Any Sony BDP-S370 user here? I've check through all the setup to enable the receiver to display 'DTS-HD' word on the screen, but it wont. When I checked the info on the receiver, it clearly display its DTS-HD together with all the detail bitrates, etc.. but my GUI screen only display AV1 'straight'.. kindly enlighten..

Jenn77, the settings is on the Yammy itself. If I remember correctly, it's one of the buttons inside the flap.
