atmos are more on digital remastered, most market players knows on this and they will throw out all the old stock before getting new remastered version.

That's why I don't bother to chase atmos, as I only have 5.1 setup, my AVR is 7.1, still got another pair of outputs not use yet sweat.gif

Hello Yamaha fans,

This is my setup for the past 7 years....

RX-V863 (amplifier)
NS-555 x 2 (floor standing)
NS-333 x 2 (book shelf)
NS-C444 (centre)
SW-315 (subwoofer)

I hardly use it nowadays, it is still in showroom condition, no scratches.
If I want to sell it, how much do you think is a fair price?

Thanks.

On non supporting receivers, it will show Dolby True-HD. It's normal. What is your receiver by the way?

Honestly it not easy to set like what we did with dts hd or true hd. Anyway the sound is really fantastic compare with true hd or dts hd, the surround more detail, clear n 3d surround feel n the bass also more sweet. I have yet to buy atmos firing spk. Was quote RM1400 for klipsch/pair but look cheap skate. Will be looking for other model, if any forunner here can recommend better one please advice

Well firstly u have set the front presence on n select to surround presence or front presence or both if u have 2set of atmos spk. then select surround decode only at your avr side n u r there of course u must have atmos format disc but at bd player it will still show dolby true hd 7.1 bcos our bd player dont have atmos

You can try mission or monitor audio. Try to avoid KEF surround is really not good

I could be wrong, from what I understand, your Yammy 2040 need a firmware update to play atmos... So my question to you is have you check your firmware and see if you have the latest firmware?
