I won't really take A3040 as looks like A3040 is just like A2040 being software adjusted to give 11.2. Also, both of them are same power consumption of 490W.
Looking at speaker output's spec, it only state doing 140/150W at 2 channel driven, so if were to drive all the channels, the actual output could be lower.

Finally got myself a 2040 bcos my dealer also say the same thing, don't waste money, only different is the wattage n is very minimum, but honestly the different is only about RM900 thats why is bugging me. Anyway thanks

Is it true that we have to set the avr to the lowest ohm when u have mix ohm spk. Example front spk.8ohm n surround 6ohm we have to set to 6ohm for output.

I have A2040 and my front speakers are 4 ohms with 90bD sensitivity. Should I set the speakers on the AVR to at least 6 ohms?
*
According to the manual you should set to 4ohm. The lowest ohm on any spk.u have.
