I am planning to upgrade my old Yamaha av amp to the aventage series.; RXA 2020 / 1020.

what would be the suitable speakers to pair with this series ?

I am currently using RXA 1010 with my PSB Stratus series and very happy with the sound.

It all depends on what kind of sound that you like. Bright, warm, dynamic, etc. This will narrow down your choices.

Harvey Norman (Ampang Point) is currently giving discount for RX-V673 @ RM 2,100. (Original price = RM 2,590).

I'm looking for home theater that cost ard RM3k, but look like unlikely i can get this avr + 5.1 speakers within RM3k.

Any suggestion for sub + speaker below 1k?

bright emphasize on treble
warm emphasize on mid tone & vocal
dynamic {boom boom pow} *piling palang*


i suggest u spend more on speaker instead of receiver.
3k receiver + 1k speaker set =avr full function, but wont sound good
1k receiver + 3k speaker set =avr less function, but at least sound good

I dont think you able to get v373, I just got v473 last week and only 1 shop has it, btw I am from penang.

How much did you get for V473.

Every year new model cooking out, can't Chase all this new things.

I have the same thought ! Initially I was looking forward for the new series but after did some comparison, found that the new features just ECO, enhance for ipod, not going to use that.

I just bought RX-v473 (sorry... still entry level.... ), did fine tuning and found that the sound from DVD is more 'out' compare to Blueray.... , any setting that i missed out?
