It all depends on what kind of sound that you like. Bright, warm, dynamic, etc. This will narrow down your choices.

Sunway Pyramid Harvey Norman selling promotion Yamaha RX-V575 + NS-P160RW (5 speakers) - selling at RM3,200.00. Tested and the sound is good. Not really required a sub woofer.

Is it worth it? Any comment?

Thanks

What is the different between RX-V575 and RX-V475?

I can only the differences of channel 7.2 and 5.1. All the rest of the spec is same. Looks like more worthy to take RX-V475 if not going for 7.2.

The correct ht package u mention earlier is actually YHT575SPK160RW am i right?

The front floorstander speaker come with the package actually can use bi-amping which the v575 can serve the purpose.. Much clearer sound n details..

Yes. Your r rite. But what is "bi-amping". Do you owe this model? Please share the good point and bad point. I m thinking of getting this or maybe v475.

I tested v575 at Sunway HN. Very clear sound and good bass (without any sub woofer).

I do not own this yet.... But will soon brows.gif .... In this case, bi-amping means using 2 output from the amp to each of the floorstander speaker..... Any sifu here correct me if im wrong.. Hehe.. Im really bad at explaining things. In my opinion, its a good deal if u take it in package as u will utilize the balance of the 2 extra output from the receiver. Unless u already have a speaker set without bi- amping input, then go for v475..

What most important to me, the package is within my budget n very satisfying sound.. smile.gif

Thanks guys... is it ok for surround speaker to mount directly on the wall behind seating position n facing the opposite wall (TV)? Or is it a must to mount with an angle as shown in image below?
