I even tried skyfire but its lousy too.
how do u guys play youtube vids?
any ideas???

and can we upgrade the progs provided, like Opera to a latest version? or uninstall currently installed progs?

i off the phone and start charging for 8 hour using the charger...
On 1pm.. i turn on my device.. until now.. 11.50pm my batery left another 76%.. after play around with my phone..
Maybe u also play around with your Omnia, but not END all your application at TASK SWITCHER.. that why maybe makan batery..
try it.. maybe can help u!!

How much is your O2 and what's in the package?

got bluetooth headset meh? i ask around foe eg. pda expert they sell the phone at 23++ but no bluetooth headset lor

RM2300 - apart from the standard package, a Canon mobile photo printer was also included. I declined the Canon and chosed 8G micro SD instead.


Ajip, i did end tasks all application and off the phone. The phone was at 40% when i turned it off. Immediately I turn ON the phone and checked the power now only at 10%. This one i managed to simulate at the sale centre, so they have no dispute but to accept the device for further checks. I will follow up with them by lunch today...

The original full package should comes with a Samsung Bluetooth headset+4GB memory card, if not, they could be conning you or maybe replace it with some other stuff.

I believe the fullset should include:

1) Bluetooth headset
2) 4GB memory card
3) earphones
4) charger
5) pouch
6) stylus
7) CD + manual
8) micro USB cable

If you get something other than this, than they are replacing it with some other stuff. Like what HM_Alphelbomb mentioned...Canon printer??? Definitely, not from original package...probably trying to upsell you unwanted stuff...lol. Definitely wiser to go for a 8GB card instead...

I didn't get any bluetooth headset , i got the rest plus strangely a free Samsung towel .... if you are wondering where i got it from , from Samsung shop in sunway pyramid.

This is my 1st complaint email to Samsung customer service with regard to my faulty Omnia2. I know this is kind of early and not so much details but man,,i just spent >RM2000 of my hard earned money to be in this shitty thingy. What do u expect..jumping around happily???


"Hi, I bought a new Omina2 from Mobile City outlet in Sunway Carnival Seberang Jaya on 31/10/2009. Brought home and have it charged for 8 hrs as suggested. Yesterday morning (1/11/2009) when woke up, i checked the power at around 90%. Played around about 1 hr, the power somehow dropped to around 40%. The phone felt kind of warm even though no tasks were running. Completely power off the phone and upon power up, it now showed less than 10%. I brought back the phone to the mobile city yesterday noon and managed to simulate the power loss during off/on to the sale lady. She agreed taht there was something wrong with the phone or battery. I then insisted to have immediate replacement but was astonished when told no spare is available even in the whole penang and she has no idea when the spare will come. I left the phone for repair and this morning i called her up to follow up and was told the same story. She has no clue when will I get my phone back..

I just spent >RM2000 for a brand new Samsung smartphone and immediately I am in this kind of unwanted situation. I am expecting the phone to be replaced on the spot or reimburse me back my hard earned money as clearly i have nothing to do with the phone issue.
This is my 1st official email to you and if not taken seriously, next step will be taken accordingly."

Thanks for the link..Samsung customer service gal just called me up about 15 minutes ago up to check for more details– warranty card and proof of purchase resit which I have submitted to Mobile City when making the complaint. My mistake, I forgot to duplicate those documents. What I have now is only service acknowledgement form from the outlet (complete with their company stamp). Anyway she promised to call me back once she get more details from the outlet or service center.

Called Samsung service center. Win 6.5 not available yet. I checked Singapore website confirm it's available there. The customer service rep tol me over phone that Malaysia will be in mid-Nov. :-(

Good to hear, hope you can get it resolved ASAP. At least the SC people is taking initiative to call u up, which is a good sign.

Seriously, i think the dealer outlet is trying to play you out...'no spare battery' in the whole Penang island?? Hopefully the SC will give u a 1 to 1 exchange ASAP.

3rd.. i have same problem with thinakaran which cannot play youtube in opera or ie.. it show error..? (not yet settle) help..

i tried playing around, it looks nice
but a bit complicated to configure (adding new plugin)

Yep, I have modified my Titanium home screen and yes at first it took me a while for me to learn it. Had to hard reset my phone several times due to some crazy mistakes I did.

All pays well though....

FYI, check out the Modaco forum. The OpenGL V1 compatibility layer has been released (still buggy but shows promising results).
As a bonus, GinKage and Chainfire managed to run TouchFlo3D on the O2.
They will release it very soon to the public.
