When using WinMO 6.1, when disable the TouchWiz UI, we can display and show the old Microsoft Setting. |

When you disabled the TouchWiz UI & click on "Start" you will still get the new windows Menu shown in Post #394 (1st two screenshot) by Andrewtst post.

QUOTE(bluhound @ Oct 9 2009, 12:13 PM) To re-enable traditional Settings menu Hi bluhound,Open any registry editor, go to path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo\ Value 'HideSettings' Set to '0'.. and soft-reset Credit goes to rodrigofd. Taken from http://www.modaco.com/content/i8000-omnia-...e-samsungizing/ Thanks for the info, that exactly solved the problem and now managed to bring out the "old" Microsoft setting m Added on October 9, 2009, 1:23 pmOmnian, No worried .. most importantly you have to passion to share what you know, and experience... Hi Andrewtst and test rest the power consumption for these 3 setting?
Have you all tested on: 1. Default WinMO 6.1 or 6.5 Today Screen 2. SPB Shell 3.x 3. PointUI Reason I ask is I tested using SPB Shell 3.1 (on WinMO 6.1) and it use up my phone battery within a day it drop to about 70-60% (Remain) Note: Usage patten - Seldom Turn ON, only received call about 1 time perday or one SMS per-day, only turn on once in a while to look at the screen and off back... But if use either Default or Samsung WidgetUI it can remain about 90% for whole day or more. That just my quick observation, anybody experience about the same thing? please share your experience ... Thanks... This post has been edited by jyhk_junk: Oct 12 2009, 06:40 PM |

Hi lhongwuh, skymade, and the rest,
Thanks for the input, I just checked my Omnia2 battery % just now, still using WinMo 6.5 Default "Today" screen without Samsung WidgetUI, and it only used up about 5% (still have about 95%) since yesterday until today, usage still the same, minimum, seldom use.. (like turn ON n OFF occassionly to look at the screen and receive 1 or 2 calls only) .. WIFI & BlueTooth TurnOFF. Well will do some testing on SPB again just to see how is the battery comsumtion eat up ... |

Hi All I8000XXIJ6 ROM users,
Does this ROM have Chinese Character input like (Samsung Panel) or we need to use 3rd party SIP ? The old 6.1 (I8000HZHIH9 or earlier) do have it... |
