@bluhound i agree on using IS for back plate. Bodyguardz is better though. if use matt SP for front screen, it makes the screen resolution not that nice, i prefer clear ones...hehe.. if u want matt for front and plastic feel for back(IS is rubbery), u can try bodyguardz(whole body protection)...kinda nice and it's thinner and is not a dust magnet. highly recommended stuff! for leather case, slide in slide out(pocket type) is still my choice, less bulky..(just personal preference though)

QUOTE(chteh0721 @ Oct 15 2009, 10:07 AM) just got my omnia II lastnight. i;ve got one question, have you ever try to register your omnia at samsung webiste ? I'm not able to register, keep on saying my IMEI no should contain at least 10 alphanumeric no. My one is original fmg set Just enter the IMEI number only don't put that middle line ... just put the numbers in sequence.

Latest WM 6.5 rom is out again. This time is IJ6. This ROM is highly recommended! The best ROM so far for OMNIA II. I8000XXIJ6- Language: English - Windows Mobile 6.5 http://rapidshare.com/files/292598295/i8000XXIJ6.zip.001http://rapidshare.com/files/292605631/i8000XXIJ6.zip.002http://rapidshare.com/files/292612819/i8000XXIJ6.zip.003http://rapidshare.com/files/292619139/i8000XXIJ6.zip.004http://rapidshare.com/files/292624760/i8000XXIJ6.zip.005http://rapidshare.com/files/292627972/i8000XXIJ6.zip.006Pros:- Fast WiFi detect and Connect. - GPS point detection is fast and great! I get 4 bar in my area which last time I only get 2 bar. - New icon for email and sms (actually not new la, it is just a default WM 6.5 icon) - Interface is smooth everywhere. - Can auto rotate during SMS, Email, Microsoft Office product, Opera, Media Player and Photo Browser - Boot Up is fast - WiFi firmware is newer than IJ3 (IJ6 is 1.2.3.0 while IJ3 is 1.2.2.6) - Ringtone issue solved, it is gentle now. (not like all previous version too soft then suddently loud) Cons:- NA (Can't find any yet, maybe as usual program RAM is too little even closing down the Samsung Widget Plus, less than 100MB) This post has been edited by Andrewtst: Oct 18 2009, 12:33 AM

So we can just straight flash it to this latest release? Cause I do remember reading about the need to flash the phone to other firmware first.
